September. Possibly the best month of the year so far 🥹 No deep thoughts. Not long message. I’ll just leave it at that 🫶🏼

August 🤍

Family time. Mountain hikes. Lots of baby giggles. Good friends. A business that’s growing. And a whole lot of learning as I figure out these new ventures I’ve thrown myself into.

There have been some really high highs and some really hard lows. Moments where I’ve felt so confident in what I’m building, and others where I’ve questioned everything. But I’m learning that building something of your own is rarely a straight line..and that’s okay.

And somehow, my baby is growing up right before my eyes. 🥹

It’s crazy to think that this time last year I was so pregnant! Swollen, exhausted, uncomfortable, and convinced I was going to pop at any second. Now I’m watching this tiny human become his own little person and wondering how an entire year went by so fast.

Life is hard. It’s messy and beautiful and unpredictable and sometimes all of those things at the exact same time.

But August reminded me that even in the hard seasons, there is so much beauty tucked into the ordinary moments.

Feeling grateful for this life, exactly as it is. 🤍

Before the photos become another camera roll memory… here’s July. 🤍

This month looked like early morning walks with friends, soaking up sunshine, endless playtime, mealtimes, and bath time with my baby who’s somehow growing faster every day. It looked like escaping Utah’s heat for cooler mountain air, making more time for family, and saying “yes” to being outside whenever we could.

But more than anything, July felt different.

I’ve felt a shift. A lightness. A sense of fulfillment I haven’t felt in a while. Joy has felt easy to find this month. Possibilities feel closer than they have in a long time. Things are growing, both in life and in work, and it’s been so fun watching pieces fall into place.

If this is a glimpse of what’s ahead, I’m really excited for what’s to come.

Hello, August. 🌿✨

Is this the initiation into motherhood?

This is the first time in my life I’ve decorated for Halloween. And why do I feel like the family “magic maker” now… and I don’t hate it!!

Taking care of the lawn for him 😌

Hear me when I say this: if I can do this, anyone can!🤣

I picked this up at @homedepot but it’s also available online or locally at Walmart and Lowe’s. @pennington

Finally finished my son’s nursery… a whole year after he was born 🤍😂

But honestly, it took me that long to find the perfect piece for the empty space above his rocking chair. I wanted something more than just beautiful art. I wanted a reminder that he is always surrounded by Christ’s love.

Every time I look at this piece, it brings me so much peace knowing that I can’t always be there to protect him or hold him, but He can. I hope that as my son grows, he’ll always know and feel how deeply he is loved by Him. 🤍

And the best part? They ship for FREE! 🥹✨

Toddler sling is a game changer for a quick trip into the store and around the house when he’s clingy!

@wildbird , thank you for making the best shoulder strap out of all toddler slings. I’ve tried a lot of them!!

🎃 Want your pumpkins to last all the way through December 1st?! Here’s exactly what I do every year. 🍂

Because let’s be honest… when you fill your porch with pumpkins, it’s a BIG investment. I want to enjoy them for as long as possible! 👏🏼

Here’s my pumpkin-preserving routine:

🫧 1. Wash them really well.
Spray all the dirt, debris, and little bugs off your pumpkins. Get them nice and clean!

🍎 2. Give them a vinegar bath.
I soak mine in a vinegar bath for about 30 minutes. You can cheat and use a vinegar spray, but the bath is the most efficient way to make sure you get every surface.

🧻 3. DRY THEM REALLY WELL.
This step is SO important! Make sure your pumpkins are completely dry before putting them out. Otherwise, all that moisture can work against you and negate everything you just did.

🎃 4. Enjoy!
Now they’re ready for inside or outside use, and they should last SO much longer than untreated pumpkins.

✨ Bonus tip: If you notice any cracks or bruises, put a little petroleum jelly over those spots to help seal them from pests and moisture that can contribute to rot.

Save this and send it to your friend who goes ALL OUT on their porch. 😂🎃🍂

Adult bullying doesn’t always look like bullying.

Sometimes it’s quiet. Subtle. Strategic. Just enough to have plausible deniability. A comment that can be brushed off as “just a joke.” A pattern of exclusion that can be explained away. A dig followed by, “you’re being too sensitive”

And that’s what makes it so difficult to call out. Because when the behavior is intentional but carefully disguised, it becomes incredibly easy for everyone else to say, “It wasn’t that bad,” instead of asking a much more important question:

What was the intention behind those actions?

Not every hurtful interaction is bullying. But when someone repeatedly chooses actions designed to embarrass, isolate, undermine, or hurt another person, telling the person on the receiving end to “have thicker skin” completely misses the point.

And honestly, I worry about what our kids are learning from the adults around them.

If we want children to be kind, inclusive, accountable, and respectful, they need to see adults practicing those things too.

Maybe the lesson shouldn’t always be “Don’t let other people bother you.”

Maybe sometimes it should be “Don’t be the person who intentionally makes someone else feel small.”

We can teach resilience and expect better behavior from the people doing the hurting. Both things can be true. 🤍

What happened to welcome home signs and flowers when greeting people at the airport?

We were very early picking up my husband from the airport so I thought “let’s surprise him inside”. But I did forget how much harder it is to be spontaneous with a 1 year old with you lol.

Next time I’ll plan something more fun!
