Don’t even know how to describe all God did last week at fca leadership camp!

It was an honor to serve with a group of believers that love Jesus so much and love others so well. I saw that God is just looking for people who are willing and able. He doesn’t need perfection, He just wants a heart that loves Him and desires to show His love to others.

I encourage whoever reads this to step out in faith and lead. Not in your own strength, but in the confidence found in knowing that you’re a daughter or son of the most high God (Romans 8:15). Our God can do great things through broken vessels! I saw Him break chains, set captives free, and bring people home to Him because people stepped out in faith!

Something I’ll always remember: “The testimony that came out of your trial can be the syllabus that someone else needs to help them navigate theirs! Go make disciples” Quote from @d.w1ll_

Well it’s been a minute, or a year.. who’s counting🙃

This last year I’ve been kind of quiet on social media because I needed a little break from it. So I wanted to share some of what life has looked like since graduating last May.

Here’s a glimpse of my FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) journey. Soon after graduation, I decided to come on staff with FCA at UAB. FCA was a part of my community in college, and serving with them in this last year has been so sweet. I had the privilege of meeting so many beautiful people. My life was impacted by leaders, peers, and people I was walking with. I had the honor of watching Jesus touch many hearts and it was all HIS GLORY! I got to witness Him move through my brokenness. 2 Corinthians 12:9 is a verse that touched my heart in the fall “But he said to me, my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” I learned that Jesus is not looking for perfect people, but people who love Him and are willing to say yes. He can use our weakest yes for His glory because He is so powerful! I saw this in the last year with my own story and I hope this encourages someone to step out and give Him your yes, whatever that looks like, even if it seems scary!

With that being said, I will be stepping down from FCA staff because I feel led in a different direction! But I wanted to thank @bham_fca for allowing me to serve with you guys this last year and being so encouraging! Grateful for each person I met through this ministry and for the ways you guys have impacted my life!

In this next chapter I’ll be personal training @steelstrengthtraining and coaching some volleyball @g3vbtraining. I’m super pumped!! The jobs will be awesome but just want Him to be glorified! 1 Corinthians 10:31 says “So whatever you do, whether you eat or drink, do it all for the glory of God.” New chapter, same God 🥳

So here’s my long life update that nobody asked for haha but this is where I’m at :) taken in Alabama by @brooke.pertuit

GRADUATED!! These past four years have been a ride. Academics and athletics have shown me what hard work looks like and taught me lessons that I will take with me for the rest of my life. It’s been such a good journey that was so worth all the grind! A huge thank you to @islandersbvb and @uab_bvb for four amazing years on the sand. Thankful for this opportunity the Lord gave me. I couldn’t have made it through without the support of my family, friends, coaches, teammates, and community. God is good and I’m so excited to see what He has in store in this next season!! taken in University of Alabama at Birmingham by @brooke.pertuit
