Meet @brookeleesmith

Brooke is the mama of 4 boys with one more on the way 🩵 a union makeup artist, master cosmetologist, and the kind of woman who has never once slowed down long enough to be put in a box.

Netflix. HULU. Disney. That’s her Tuesday. But ask her what drives her and she’ll tell you it’s the artists the ones coming up, the ones burning out, the ones who just need someone to believe in them first.
Two decades deep. Hollywood credits. Broadcast networks. Runway stages. Team Pat McGrath. And through all of it a mama, first and always.
She’s one of our moms in makeup. And she knows firsthand that beauty and motherhood don’t just belong in the same conversation they belong in the same breath.

This space is for the real ones. The mamas who are also artists. The artists who are also mamas. The women who are tired of choosing between who they are and what they love. We see you. We are you. Stick around there’s so much coming.

“Time of Death,” hit theaters and streaming platforms Friday.
There are too many people to tag, but the cast and crew were a blast to work with. Thank you @willwernick and @kyledavidcrosby for having me on your team.

I was able to Department Head along side one of my besties, Department Head of Hair @blythebick and had the undying support of the Makeup Department Key @saraannstyle. I cannot thank you two enough.

While working for the network, I found out I was expecting.

I didn’t tell anyone. It felt too precious. Too mine.

In a world where “breaking news” was our everyday, this was the one story I wasn’t ready to broadcast.

But one day, a coworker leaned over and said, I have news.

And I said, so do I.

Two years. Two mothers. Two artists navigating everything in between.

The victories. The challenges. The moments nobody posts about.

We have stories to tell. Breaking ones. About motherhood, beauty, and the world we’re raising our children and businesses in.
