Doing nothing is really something.

In a @iambeyondbarriers cohort this morning, someone set a goal to take off one day a month to avoid burnout. It felt radical and it makes so much sense. In our "always-on" world, it feels counterintuitive to stop, to pause. But what if stillness is actually the most productive place?

The Pareto Principle, also known as the 80/20 rule, tells us that 80% of our results come from 20% of our efforts. Two things on your list of ten will deliver 80% of your impact. Think about it: How often do your biggest breakthroughs come when you step away from the chaos and allow your mind to wander?

When we stop, we:

Gain clarity: We can see the bigger picture and identify what truly matters.

Spark creativity: Our best ideas often surface when we're not actively searching for them.

Improve decision-making: Reflection allows us to process information and make more informed choices.

Reduce stress: Stillness is a powerful antidote to burnout.

Let's reclaim the power of pause. Schedule it, structure it, make it happen. Find the magic that unfolds in stillness.
