I’ll never forget the two people who questioned me! I don’t think they were being mean, but the doubts they had were real. They mentioned them to me multiple times! Now are you sure you are good to bike that far? What about swimming maybe you shouldn’t do it. What are you going to do if you can’t make it to the finish? How are you going to train with little kids? At the time I had a 2 year old, 6 year old, and a husband that worked out of town for weeks at a time. Valid questions but, girl!! Thanks for the doubts, I’ll be good! When I said I’ll be good, did I know how many miles I’d be riding on the bike? No. Had I ever ridden a road bike? Also no.
Had I ever heard of an Ironman? Also no! So when I say, tell me I can’t and I’ll do it just for the plot twist, I really do mean it! #runningmom #ironman #fitmom #plottwist taken in Ironman by @brookeruns_

I may or may not block the schools calls on vacation 😜 what do you mean my child running around the opera house in Australia, going to mud baths in Fiji, and playing with Koalas isn’t excused!? We’ve already hit the max number of days 1 month in, so that’s fun 😅😂 #travelingfamily #travelingtheworld #travelingwithkids #schoolmemes #traveling taken in Austin, Texas by @brookeruns_

Bad words came out at mile 8! Trying out new trails, and almost failing but we survived! Running truly is not always easy, or glamorous, it’s tough! Even on those easy runs, it can still be really hard! Mile 8 was a no go for me 😂 #runninghumor #runningmom #marathonrunner #runningvlog #fitmom @lululemon @Nike @Bose by @brookeruns_

90’s summer all year, around here, why let the fun stop when we can keep it going! Pinwheel Home has been so much fun for the whole family! We still haven’t given any of our kids a cell phone so this has been a game changer to be able to get ahold of them at the house, anytime we need, and they can call us anytime! This product was provided by Pinwheel. #pinwheelphone #pinwheelhome taken in Austin, Texas by @brookeruns_
