Mama left us 3 years ago today.
A year ago today we moved abroad.
The best decision ive ever made. I decided to move on this day because I didnt want Sept 3rd to be a sad day.
I cried a little this morning because I dont get to share these sunrises and sunsets with mama and Geoffrey. I do get to share them with Gia and soon Golden. So a win is a win.

Can yall believe it...we've been living in Costa Rica almost a year!!! This last trip was for the books and it wore me out! Lol! Look at my hair. I sweated it out, packing the car before I made this video. It was so cute the day before. Lol!
It was great seeing everyone. Gia got to spend time with her siblings and thats what is most important.

While in the jungle I've been resting, reflecting, and coming up with ways to generate consistent income while we live abroad. Using the skills I already have and scaling them virtually and online was the only way that made sense to me.

30 yrs in the beauty industry. Nails, Lashes, Makeup and now Skincare...virtually and online. It can be done...and Im doing it!

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for engaging with my content and supporting me throughout this incredible journey abroad. Your likes, comments, shares, and encouragement mean the world to us as we share our experiences of living, working, and living in Costa Rica.

Yup we outside with bonnets and moomoos on.

(Every time I post her w/a bonnet on the "bonnet police" show up)

See the only reason some of yall really hate the bonnets outside is because most associate it with "hoodrats", "ghetto girls" or a stereotypical type of black woman/girl yall dont want to be associated with.

Bonnets are for protecting the hair. Just like a satin lined cap or scarf. Thats it.

Gia lives abroad. Learning another language. Travels, reads, plays sports...and wears a bonnet outside when shes protecting her hair out here...and shes from Four Seasons...Forest Cove to be exact.

Nobody bothers her out here...but i know this post will ruffle some of yalls feathers.

Shes had a rough week and I let her take a mental health day. So a quick ride to the store turned into a ride to the beach with her bonnet on.

It is what it is. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I wrote that post 2 years ago. Were going to Japan next month for our bdays and she will have 5 stamps on her passport and shes kicking ass with her surfing!!!

I always asked her how she feels out in the water like that. She loves it. Ive watched stay out in the ocean for 3 hours...wave after wave after wave. She can do something I can not do. I love this for her. I love listening to her explain the ocean to me and how she can read it and what it feels like for her to ride a wave.
Im so glad that shes able to experience flow state.
