POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I only traveled internationally twice last year.

I know you’re probably sarcastically thinking “wow ONLY twice, what a sad life you live” but hear me out…

I hosted my first travel group trip in Cartagena, Colombia and it was filled with culture, smiles and "chocolate". It happened the same month I turned the big 3-0 and I shared it with some truly badass individuals.

They deepened a lesson I keep learning in this life: how important community is. We all came from different parts of the U.S. with the same outlook on travel: to explore the places we go to. They reminded me that I don’t have to be stationary to experience community or to share life with people.

Then I went to Mexico where I got a little taste of all-inclusive resort life and a little taste of the Mexican Caribbean beach town of Playa del Carmen. I reconnected with one of my beautiful friends from Thailand (shoutout to Fatine), and I got to watch another friend come back together with his community and be fully loved on which was obviously very reciprocal of the love he oozes.

I used to prepare myself for a very solo life of travel. I knew I’d meet people along the way, maybe make friends here and there, but I never really considered a genuine traveling community until 2025. Not just the idea of it but actually experiencing it has left a lasting imprint on my mind.

So all that to say: after a super stationary 2025 (especially compared to the last three years of traveling the world), the two trips I did take were incredibly impactful especially when it comes to growing and nurturing this travel community.

If you made it all the way down here, I’d love if you took a moment to check out my next trip (Adventure Japan) and see if it aligns with you. And if you’ve been thinking about it, let’s chat, I want to know your reasons for wanting to travel.

If you don’t feel called to look deeper into the trip but still want to show support, I’d love it if you shared my pinned post with all the details. And if you already know you’re coming… I’m gonna need you to go ahead and BOOK YOUR SPOT so I can make sure you’re accounted for 😇

xoxo,
The traveling lady
