Join us on Wednesday for one last Mozart Concerto this season. Performed on the basset clarinet, the rarely-heard instrument behind our most beloved work, we'll also briefly discuss the history of the concerto and the clarinet as Mozart knew it.

Thank you Buffet Crampon and Brookgreen Gardens for making this performance possible. taken in Brookgreen Gardens by @brookgreen_gardens

Why is a fox squirrel called a FOX squirrel? Well our Zookeepers did some digging to see how it may have gotten its name.

Keep an eye out for the southern fox squirrel on your next visit, and stop by the Campbell Nature Center to drop your question in our “Ask a Zookeeper” mailbox! 🐿️

As summer slowly comes to a close, we are soaking in all of our warm season plantings.

They’re at their peak: vibrant, lush and larger than life. We’ll begin transitioning to our cool-weather displays next month, so come enjoy the final stretch of the season while it lasts.

Did you guys know there’s a zoo in Brookgreen Gardens?!
I didn’t!

Beautiful gardens, lunch at The Old Kitchen, and the Lowcountry Zoo, all about 30 minutes south of Myrtle Beach. We spent hours here and still didn’t see everything!

Save this for your next Myrtle Beach trip. Have you been?

Here’s a quick look at a few of the plants you’ll find at tomorrow’s sale… if you can catch them.
