🌱 Step into our classrooms!

At BFS, families are partners in learning. Next week we’re hosting our Community Forums, where parents visit their child’s classroom to explore the curriculum, materials, and experiences that fill our days.

📅 Wednesday, Oct 21: Jitterbug & Sunshine
📅 Thursday, Oct 22: Dragonfly, Butterfly & Rainbow
⏰ 6:15–7:15 PM

Inspired by Reggio Emilia, our classrooms grow from children’s curiosity, and we love giving families a window into that work. See you there, BFS families! 💛

We are beginning to prepare for our spring piano recitals — the final recitals of the school year before summer begins. 🎹.

Over the next weeks, students from all my schools will be practicing their recital pieces, learning how to perform for an audience, and experiencing the excitement of sharing music with family and friends!

At this age, recitals are about confidence, preparation, concentration, and the joy of playing something independently at the piano.

Looking forward to hearing all the music come together this spring!

Some loose parts play for our jitterbugs on their little light table. The circles are plastic bottle rings. The neon cocktail skewers were a post party gift from our Atelierista Gabi. The ‘ice cubes’ are a donation from a food photographer friend! #CuriosityApproach #WonderApproach by @brooklynfreespace
