This past Sunday I had the prestigious honor of graduating from THEE illustrious Spelman College – the number one HBCU in the world!🩵🤍💙

While I have always been proud of Spelman’s accolades, I would not be able to acknowledge the full breadth of my institution’s impact without my enrollment.

I thank God for providing me guidance in times of desperate need. My decision to attend Spelman was literally made on May 1st, 2021 (National Decision Day). There were people I had spoken to that shaped my decision and I would not have met them without the presence of God in my life…literally!

I am so appreciative to the Gordon Family Giving Foundation, the RISE Program, the UNCF Target Scholars Program, TMCF, NSBE, SWE, the Spelman Physics Club, the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation, Goldman Sachs, the Spelman Alumnae Association and NASA ULI for providing me invaluable insight into the career path I have chosen and for funding my literal dreams.

I give thanks to the Physics Department !! @SpelmanPhysics The concepts I have been able to grasp due to the patience of my professors and the approval I have been able to receive from the department has been such a blessing♥️

To my Spelman Sisters, I could only have become undaunted by the fight with you all by my side. I have so many experiences through you all that has helped me find who I am. (#VIBN4L)

I will always thank my four sisters for being my biggest supporters. My parents for their continuous sacrifice and outpouring of love. Thank you to all of my family and friends that answered when I called! I see you all, you don’t understand how grateful I am for you!
It takes a village, always!🙌🏽

My dedication has grown from just you, Grandpa. These past 4 years growing into my adulthood has taught me love and loss, they are who I do it for!

What a journey.

“Don’t let anyone rob you of your imagination, your creativity, or your curiosity. It’s your place in the world; it’s your life. Go on and do all you can with it, and make it the life you want to live.” – Mae Jemison
