If I could speak to myself three years ago, I’d tell her:
Trust that your body knows what it needs.
Follow what gives you energy instead of what earns you approval.
Pay attention to how people make you feel, not just what they say.

And I’d hold her face and tell her this:
A smaller body will never give you the safety, love, belonging, or peace you’re starving for. Those were never waiting on the other side of weight loss. They were waiting on the other side of coming home to yourself.

for a long time, I kept searching for love in places that couldn’t give it. it felt normal to work for it, to change myself, to believe I had to earn it.

I tied my worth to my body so tightly that I stopped seeing myself clearly. I pushed and abused myself trying to create the “perfect” body I thought would finally make me lovable. and when I finally got there… nothing changed. the love I wanted still wasn’t there.

that’s when I realized love doesn’t come from becoming a different version of yourself — it comes from knowing your worth as you are.

I had to learn to give myself the love I’d been chasing. to see that I am worthy in every version of my body and every season of my life.

and once I learned that, everything shifted.

So grateful for each of these women who showed up and helped make this container what it was. It takes courage to have honest conversations about body image, and the depth, vulnerability, and openness in the room was really special.

We live in a society that treats weight gain like the worst thing that could happen to us.

But our bodies are allowed to change. Through different seasons of life, aging, hormones, recovery, and simply being human.

Weight gain doesn’t have to be a shameful experience. It doesn’t mean you’ve failed, let yourself go, or done something wrong.

You don’t have to love every change, but you don’t have to punish yourself for it either
