Another volleyball season has come to a close and what an incredible one it was. I am so grateful to be a part of the Metro Volleyball family. And I am so honored to be able to coach alongside Emma Kate again. And it was wonderful having Knox come along and find the love for volleyball. Thank you to all the coaches that I got to learn with this season, especially Isabel and Lucas. I am a better coach because of both of you!

Thank you Metro 16s for allowing me to be your coach this season. You have done more this season than just win matches. I believe that you not only became stronger volleyball players, but more importantly, you have become stronger people. The lessons I have learned from you all about hard work, resilience through injury, and the importance of finding joy when it seemed to be lost has inspired me more than you will ever know.

That joy is why volleyball is one of the greatest sports in the world. Every point is a fresh start. And every match is a new opportunity to enjoy playing a game. This season I got to watch Chad’s daughter find that joy early in her career. And I got to see Alyssa enjoy that feeling for the last time of her club career.

This is a beautiful game and I am lucky to be a part of it. Metro 16s, for the last time this year, Play Hard and Have Fun!

Joy is spending the day playing golf with friends on a course that you have played thousands of times before, but for the first time in a while truly enjoying every moment. Six months ago I wouldn’t have imagined this happening. Still praying for long term miracles but thankful for short term ones. by @brookskeisler
