Hidden on the lake edge at Chalkney Water Meadows, Little Wren is for mastering the art of doing nothing.

Compact but considered, this is an off-grid hideout where you can really switch off. With no Wi-Fi to distract you, the soundtrack to your stay is provided by the lake, the rustle of the trees, or a classic DAB radio.

Festival wedding at Browning Bros 🌈🖤
Back at Chalkney Water Meadows
@browningbros for my second wedding there this year, I bloody love it and the vibe there, you just know you’re always in for a good time. It’s also about 15 minutes from my house, so I can’t complain about that either. 😂

Naomi & Sam’s day was full of colour, festival vibes and all the things that make a wedding feel like your wedding.

My pal Chloe from @thecoppercacti was on the florals, so you already know the decor was going to be top tier & full of her signature quirky style - there were dinosaurs, disco balls and gnomes. The whole tipi was bursting with colour and personality, and I was very much here for it.

They had a celebrant-led ceremony with handfasting, they made sure their dogs were part of the day (obviously 🥹) oh and there was a bloody rodeo bull - I politely declined a go on that 😂

As with all the weddings I tend to photograph, the whole day was just super chill & go with the flow. Nothing done for the sake of it. Just Naomi & Sam getting married, surrounded by their favourite people, with all the little bits that make them them.

A late frost in May and a 40% loss in yield was a tough pill to swallow this harvest... but Mother Nature has a way of reminding us who’s in charge! 🌾

Farming is one big learning curve, but tasting the wines coming back from our 2024 and 2025 harvests makes every setback worth it. Huge thanks to the talented winemakers at Offbeat Wines, @defined_wine , and @renegadeurbanwinery for turning our grapes into something so special, and we can’t wait to see what comes from our new collaboration with @flintvineyard this year!

Farming might throw us a curveball every now and then, but when the wine tastes this good, we’d do it all over again. 🍷✨

Our September Wild Table was a very special one. 💚

Thank you to all the diners and glampers who joined us over the four days and experienced the “stillness” with us in the woods. We love getting to chat with you, make new friends and build a community around something we all care about. It was so wonderful to see lots of new faces, as well as welcome back our regulars! 🫶🏼

@melwinebrown my wonderful co-host - wow, you blew us all away again!! I know how much hard work goes into curating your menu, and it really showed. It was spectacular, and we’re still drooling over every course! Thank you for being the Wonder Woman you are, and for bringing so much love, passion and joy to our home.

It is such a pleasure having you and the rest of the incredible Wild Table team as part of the farm, creating something we all love and care so much about.

In May, we were able to showcase our very own Tey Brook (@teybrookfarm) sparkling rosé on the bar. This September, we also welcomed our Pet Nat (Offbeat wine) and red wine (@renegadeurbanwinery). Drinking our own wine alongside ingredients from the farm that Mel uses in the feast is pretty damn cool!

The Wild Table celebrates locality and produce just as much as it celebrates you. There’s so much planning, thought and care that goes on behind the scenes to bring it all together, and we love being able to share it with you.
