It’s a little surreal to say this, but I’m on the ballot for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical for my work on Ivy’s Traces of You.

This album means a tremendous amount to me. Making it with Dominique and Andy after losing Adam was emotional, inspiring, and at times pretty daunting. Adam is on every song, and there were so many moments during the creation of the record when it genuinely felt like he was still there with us.

I’m incredibly proud of what we made and I’m very grateful to everyone who has been part of it.

What a magical release night for Haunts & Come Little Children. It happened to coincide with a Hocus Pocus Fan Event at the @elcapitanthtre. Such a honor meeting legends @kennyortegablog @johndebney & David Kirschner. After that, we + @vinessaofficial debuted the song live at the amazing @lastvideostorecomedy Halloween event and beheld some amazing ghoulish comedy & artistry. “Traces of You” was an experiment we weren’t sure anyone would ever hear.

Could we make an Ivy album from the song ideas left behind by Adam, Andy & Dominique at various points throughout their journey as a band? Would it be good?

Quickly, mumbled melodies, unfinished ideas and jam sessions from long ago became full songs, with lyrics and all the bells & whistles that make Ivy sound like Ivy. The songs became dear to all of our hearts. And the idea that we were being guided through the whole process, perhaps by our dearly departed Adam, started to feel plausible.

As a fellow Ivy fan, the response from Ivy fans has been such a rewarding thing to witness and be a part of. Seeing faces light up at the live shows when they hear their favorite songs being sung by Dominique, with Andy strumming his ES-335, has revealed to me just how much of an impact Ivy has made on people’s lives, including mine.

Seeing the album featured in Rolling Stone, Paste and SPIN, and getting to talk about it with Rick Beato, was the ultimate cherry on top of a beautiful experience making this record—one that would have been worth it for that alone.

And now, somehow, “Traces of You” is on the Grammy ballot in a few categories.
If you happen to be a Recording Academy voter, we kindly ask you to consider Ivy and help us continue the story of our little record that could. ❤️

I’ve been in LA 15 years this month?! 🌴🌞😱 Here’s a little time capsule from my first job here… @adam_schlesinger 💔 and @goldini7 were doing the music for The Wedding Band on TBS starring @brianaustingreen @haroldperrineau @meloradhardin and Adam hired me as the guitar coach to make sure the actors knew their parts!
