This is a portion of Drew’s “Desert Time” music video, beautifully directed by Doug Werby. Every time I hear his voice, my heart breaks all over again. There are moments when I close my eyes and forget he’s gone…and then reality crashes back in. No mother should ever have to outlive her child. The pain hasn’t gotten smaller. I’ve just learned to carry it. I’m endlessly grateful Drew left us his music. It’s all I have left that lets me hear his laugh, his voice, and the beautiful soul he poured into every song. I would give up everything I own to hug him one more time. Until then, I’ll keep sharing the gift he left behind. The guest vocalist on Drew’s song “The Other Way” is none other than Tim Yehezkely of the brilliant Florida indie-pop band The Postmarks. My beautiful son, Drew, passed away way too soon. 💙
He left behind hundreds of songs, and I couldn’t bear the thought of them just sitting on his computer, never being heard. So I decided to share his music with the world.
He has one album out now, and in October I’ll be releasing new STROIK songs, along with music he created with @Kevlakat under the alias Lyon & Lowe.
So please stay tuned for more beautiful music from STROIK. 🎶

Drew’s music was more than just music.

It was his feelings.
His emotions.
His thoughts.
His heart.

He poured pieces of himself into every song he created. Sometimes beautiful, sometimes complicated, sometimes heartbreaking, but always completely him.

This is how Drew expressed himself to the world.

He left behind so much music, and I want people to hear it, feel it, and get to know the person behind the music.

Forever loved. Forever missed.
