Man, what a weekend! It was so much fun to go compete again and do HYROX.

What’s crazy is I had two people I had never even met before join me, Matt flew in from Arizona, and we just went and did it.

It’s amazing to think about how I used to weigh over 400 pounds, and I would’ve NEVER thought I’d be the guy who would just text a random group and be like, “Hey, do you guys want to do this?” two weeks before the event, sign up, and go do it.

And that’s really what this is all about.

It’s not about the scale. It’s not about how you look. It’s about being ready for life.

That’s what this weekend was about for me. Being ready for life.

Then getting there and feeling the energy from all the people and just being with friends. There were so many people in the relay area and I was seriously in heaven. I was literally bouncing off the walls just enjoying life.

You can see the joy on my face in these pictures, and THAT is what it’s all about.

Getting uncomfortable all the time. Because if you really want to transform, you have to get uncomfortable.

And when you keep doing that, you get to be ready when life gives you opportunities like this.

Man, I’m grateful for this life. And I’m ready to come back even stronger. by @brucepitcher

Raiders season opener is coming up… and if they need somebody to give the pregame speech, I’m ready

This was me over 400 pounds, speaking to a volleyball team before their playoff game.

Even back then, the passion was there. I could stand in front of other people and tell them to believe in themselves and believe they could do something special.

The biggest difference today?

I finally believe those same words about myself.

The passion hasn’t changed. I’m just learning to give myself some of that same belief I’ve always tried to give everybody else.

Well, it’s that time of year again. NFL season is here.

I know people see how much I love the Raiders and probably think I’m just some crazy fan. And yeah, maybe I am. But for me, it’s always been about so much more than football.

Football has been a huge part of my life, and I’ll never forget what the Raiders organization did for me. The way they treated me, the experience they gave me, and how they rolled out the red carpet for me is something I’ll never forget.

They didn’t have to do that.

And because of that, I’ll always be loyal.

Trust me, there have been PLENTY of Sundays where I’ve wanted to give up on this team. But honestly, that’s one of the reasons being a Raiders fan means so much to me.

Because I’ve wanted to give up in life too.

I’ve had seasons where things didn’t go the way I wanted. Seasons where I got knocked down over and over again. Seasons where it would’ve been really easy to quit.

But I kept showing up.

And that’s what I’ll keep doing.

Someday the Raiders are going to win another Super Bowl. I know some of you are probably laughing as you read that. Go ahead. 😂

Because when that day finally comes, it’s going to mean something a little different to me.

It’ll remind me that sometimes you have to keep believing when there’s not a whole lot of evidence telling you that you should.

You stay loyal.
You keep believing.
You keep showing up.

In football and in life.

I’ll never forget what the Raiders have done for me, and no matter how many frustrating Sundays they put me through, I’m not going anywhere.

Epic was really special this year.

It wasn’t the biggest Epic we’ve ever had, but I truly believe it made the biggest impact. There was just something different about this one.

For me, the best part wasn’t one specific workout or event. It was getting to spend an entire week with everyone. Coaching at Movara, hanging out all day, laughing, joking, crying, pushing through hard workouts, and just getting better together. Those moments are what make Epic so special.

Having such an incredible team helping behind the scenes made everything feel easy. For the first time in a long time, I was able to slow down, be present, and just enjoy being with all of you. I’m so grateful for that.

My biggest takeaway from this year’s Epic is this: Epic is bigger than any one person. People will come and go, seasons will change, but Epic is going to live on. I remember when there were only 12 or 13 of us. Now look where we are. That foundation is still strong because the OGs keep showing up, new people keep buying in, and this family keeps growing.

Thank you to every single person who was a part of this week. You made an impact on me, and I hope you know you made an impact on each other too.
