Always great to have biscuits and gravy for breakfast at Fava’s in Georgetown. But way better this morning getting to eat with our friends Cynthia and Lee, and hearing an inspiring message from Governor Andy Beshear. Thank you Governor for stopping by Georgetown and sharing with us on a rainy Saturday morning! taken in Fava's Of Georgetown by @bryanlanglands

I am beyond proud of and excited for my oldest kiddo and for her acceptance into this summer’s Governor’s School for the Arts program for Creative Writing. This is an intensive 3 week on-campus program at the University of Kentucky where she will train with and learn from several outstanding writing professionals and talented young artists from across Kentucky. I am very grateful that our state legislature supports and helps to fund the arts in this way.

Back in college I did my senior honors thesis in creative writing, and I am thrilled that that apple fell close to the tree. Reese, you have way more talent and creativity than I ever had, and I can’t wait to see what you and your fellow students create together in the coming 3 weeks!!! taken in Lexington, Kentucky by @bryanlanglands

Our bodies are a gift that God has given us to enjoy God, to share blessings and to work for good. If you can move your body and use your mind today, give thanks to God. by @bryanlanglands
