No crazy caption. The name of the game was novella: horror and romance edition. Cows is traumatizing and @authorkenyawright had me in a chokehold. Reviews of a few of these coming up soonish. What did you read this week?

I couldn’t deny the dragon babies! I’m definitely going to be venturing more into this series. Dare I say… I think this was better than Legends and Lattes?? 👀🙈

@authorlenalynch PLEASEEEEEEE write a family/sister/somebody drama romance that is set in the south where somebody dies and the FMC has to come home for a whole lot more than she reckoned for!!! I’m telling you sister girl, your writing was so familiar… that southern, slight back woods way of talking around a situation without explicitly saying was all up and through here and I need MORE!!! Girlie pop, you have a gift, and I know you have it in you.

Bookies, what book was written so well you thought you were the characters?? Drop em below!

When @devouredbyfiction said this was good, I immediately went to read it. So not only did I get a new book, I also got a new friend! I love when the FMC is strong and takes no shit, the action is going and the spice is spicy. If you need a little dark romance in your life— this is definitely the one to pick up! What’s your favorite dark romance?

🌟 BUDDY READS WITH BRY AND MOSSIE 🌟

Welcome to season two of our Buddy Reads Diaries!!! Did you miss us and our reviews???

Anyways, first on the list of our reviews this time around is The Poison Daughter!! Wow, this was a great start and a HIT for both of us. Sheila Masterson delivered on so many fronts and this book still comes up in our conversations.

We read this in August and September and it was such a memorable read for us. You can swipe to see our thoughts and final verdicts!

QOTD: have you read this book or is it on your TBR?

Now that I’ve had time to simmer on this one… I think the instalove attraction is really what did this book no justice. Additionally, the MMC was not convincing as a vampire. The pacing also was off for me as well. The story wasn’t bad and I’m not mad that I read it, but I definitely needed MORE. More vampire, less urban romance. If you like darker kinks, this is something to explore as well 😈
What are your favorite kinks to read in a romance book? Let’s talk spice in the comments 😈😈

A lil cutesy vibe for you to pick up when you need a pick me up! I’m more of a vampire-shifter-fae kinda girl, but the Orcs have been doing it for me! Nothing like a cozy monster romance to brighten up one’s day 🫶🏾
