Riding the last of this sweet wave and just want to share my over pouring gratitude and some of my fave responses from my peeps. One of the things I absolutely did not account for was the overwhelming sentiment of support, love, and fun surprise! The amount of reconnection, little convos, videos and texts as people watched, has been incredible.

I never do these things for the “show” of it (yes pun intended). When I went on MTV’s Fear Factor in college it was simply because @autumngupta called and said- soooo here’s this thing, will you do it with me. And when I ended up on here, I simply answered a producer’s call!

If you knew what life looked like internally right before those moments, you’d be surprised at the glowing, smiling girl up there. But if there’s one advice I’ve always chose to follow, it’s- never look like your struggle! And sometimes not looking like it can turn into not being in it soon enough.

Anyway, long sentiment over. Thank you to everyone who’s watched, and haha who knew how fun it’d be to surprise watch it at a holiday party 😂. Thanks @cedricpars 🤣, live reactions are cool.

Side quests are fun, and what’s even more fun- hanging with @killatrav 😎 and testing my knowledge with industry stars. From start to finish this entire production was so warm, sweet and inviting. I had such a great time and you’ll have to watch and see if I am indeed smarter than a celebrity 😉.

Surprising my dad with tickets and brunch in the Eiffel Tower! Best gift my mom and I pulled off in awhile.

All my dad wanted to do for this trip was “see the Eiffel Tower, my school and maybe Notre Dame” so of course a visit was in the itinerary. But then we made our way through “for a view from the bottom” and then BAM- we goin’ up!

My favorite part was watching him just spin around in glee, my mom’s joy at his joy AND the most special part- this all being our first time going in the tower itself.

Moments like these you recognize in the moment that a core memory is forming. It will be something I look back with pride, fondness and complete adoration. Sprinkles and all.

Ma mère et mon père à Paris 🇫🇷

What a treat to show them my city. Both of their first times in Paris/France. 3 days with just the right amount of exploration. Showing them my school, my rooftop views, meeting my flatmates, and navigating the metro AND bus haha).

Brought my parents out to London ft. a stop by Windsor Castle.

A little party bts! But really this post is for my auntieee 💖

Months and months and MONTHS of planning to pull this off, and wow what a beautiful feat. I got to sprinkle my little ✨Events by Bry✨ touch and I loved getting to coordinate in the weeks leading up to it while spending time in the UK.

Aunt Lisa, you are a force. And every time someone says I favor you or are like you it’s the biggest compliment in the world. I watch you balance so many things and still leave everyone feeling cared for. It’s little things like always making sure there’s a meal if someone enters that door, having Starbucks ready at home because I’m coming back to visit, preparing to-go plates when you haven’t even eaten yourself.

I strive to have a sprinkle of the touch you have when it comes to lovin’ on people. Love is action and you embody it effortlessly.

The Surprise!

Highlights:
😯 COMPLETELY surprising my grandma. She truly had no idea, not an inkling. There were people at her party who talked to her day-of and everyone kept it under wraps.
🎥 The video montage! Spent tucked away moments putting this together from those who couldn’t be in the room with us. From my sisters, to neices and nephews and my grandma’s brothers (peep the harmonica clip). She loved every bit of it.
✨ The venue- the ambience, decor and cotton candy skies before we went in were the perfect final touch. (Not to mention how we brought it all together, more on that in the next reel 🤭)
🇨🇦 The surprise attendance from one my grandma’s late best friend’s daughter, all the way from Canada. They’ve been next door neighbors and known each other for a whole lotta life, made me excited for my besties’ and I’s family futures.
🫂 Spending quality time with family that I truly only get to see on occasion. Moving over here has already allowed me more time with loved ones I haven’t seen since I was child, and some I’ve never even met!

I think my favorite part was hearing all of the kind and heartwarming words that people shared that night, through video, and audio. It’s special to see what impact my grandma has had on so many lives. And I hope to make a sliver of that impact as my time goes on. What a beautiful day 💖 by @brybry1217

Happy 75th birthday to my Grandma Pauline 🎊

There are too many words to try and encapsulate this long weekend but I’ll try my best. My parents flew out to UK to be there on her bday, and I took the train up from Pari. She thought we were just having a nice family dinner Saturday and on her actually bday we had a good sit down home cooked meal, and went out for dessert. Little did she know that months and months of planning, coordination, and thoughtful execution was about to come to fruition in two days.

We got all dressed (coordinated our outfits) and headed to the venue where a surprise birthday dinner party awaited. Friends, family, colleagues, from near and far (as far as Canada!) came to celebrate my grandma.

There isn’t really a way to capture the feeling to watch other people love your people well. People who have known my grandma from before I was born, who know me through stories and my parents, and connecting all those dots is a beautiful culmination of the love you get to put into the world.

I believe in giving people their flowers while they’re here. I don’t want to stand at a grave wishing I had said and done all the things I needed to. This was a special moment and I am beyond blessed to have the ability to travel and be present for the past few days. Glory to God in the highest! For every breath is not promised. Grateful for all the breaths He has given my grandma and that many more remain. 🎊💐💙 taken in Easthampstead Park by @brybry1217
