It’s hard to express the kupu to explain what walking back to myself feels like most of the time, but finding each other and making spaces to do that for each other has brought me closer to the versions of self I hope for everyone. I am deeply grateful for the brave hearts of my Takatāpui waiata rōpū for gifting me whānau that gifts me the mana to hold open the doors to Te Aō Māori for everyone of us searching…

Mana Takatāpui

Finding joy in the faces of the people we love when their worlds are being obliterated. To be seen. Witnessed and held and keep showing up.

The world is seemingly more sick and struggling in every second but Country has taught me that resilience has many faces/fazes/eras/errors so bringing your biggest bravest hearts to all the spaces you walk into can only help to guide us towards a more just future.

E mihi ana to our kaita fern, who through their mahi guided us to portals of hononga and rongoa to ourselves and each other our tūpuna were wise beyond our wildest dreams. He taonga e mara 💜🔮🙌🏽 @flows_by_rau

❤️🤍🖤 One of my biggest highlights this year was spending Tuesday nights singing waiata and connecting with my Takatāpui whānau here in Naarm ✨

My cup always feels so full after spending time with this beautiful rōpu and our incredible kaea @jencloher 🥰 I'm feeling so blessed going into the new year surrounded by so much aroha. But will definitely miss our kaea when they head to Aotearoa!

Also gentle reminder we have exactly one week to put in submissions opposing the Treaty Submissions Bill 😘TOITŪ TE TIRITI! 🔥

🌹 Thanks to everyone who came along and caught our show at the @tramwayhotel last night ✨

So special getting to share the stage with my good pal @ingridandtheministers and to have such a supportive audience for my first solo gig. Looking forward to the next one ❤️‍🔥 by @bryn.oakly
