JOHANNESBURG, 🇿🇦

Spent the day exploring Soweto — a place that holds so much of South Africa’s soul. We visited the Hector Pieterson Museum, built in memory of the 1976 student uprising against Afrikaans being forced in schools.

We also stopped by the Empilweni Kids Center in Orlando West, the same neighborhood where Winnie Mandela once lived — right in the heart of the struggle. The kids there radiate joy, hope, and resilience; their laughter fills the same streets that once echoed with protest and pain.
