🚨UPDATE — SOLD OUT🚨 “Red Right Return" is a phrase used as a navigational standard for a vessel returning to port. Munka has spent the majority of his adult life in Asia, having lived in Japan, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, before returning back to Japan and settling down on Sado, an island off the eastern coast, often referred to as the "island of exile".

Independently published, this 88 page book contains art made by Charles Munka since arriving to Sado in 2018. This is the first book ever produced by Munka to showcase a body of work. Limited to 100 copies. by @btsradio

🚨UPDATE — SOLD OUT🚨 Japan Import. 40 copies in stock. Signed by @charlesmunka

In 2020, visual artist Charles Munka and Japanese producer, @daisuke_tanabe, collaborated on a project to capture the essence of Sado Island, a region off the eastern sea of Japan known as the “Island Of Exile”. Munka & Tanabe spent the day together capturing field recordings from the island, which Tanabe later used as elements to create the music for this 7”. As the music was being made, Munka created artwork, represented on the cover.

A private company who commissioned the project, pressed 100 copies for company insiders. We got our hands on 40.

*An advance apology to our international friends, shipping rates are outrageous at the moment. We kept rates as low as we could. 😞 by @btsradio

In the mid '00s, an emerging scene of experimental beatmakers caught the attention of French-born artist, Ques, inspiring the "Finest Elements" character series. Ques recently took a break from MySpace and is featuring select works from this era, as 1 of 1 NFTs on @withfoundation. ✨ Live auction has ended for Ques’ Hudson Mohawke (@hudmo) drop, thank you to @devonwho ✨ by @btsradio

It was important that when (re)introducing this vinyl, we had something new to offer to everyone as a bonus. We thought it would be great to add some personal touch and include signed screenprints, but how do we get those signatures? Well of course, you mail the prints around the world and cross your fingers they travel safely.

Screenprints were designed by @charlesmunka and printed in Orange, CA by @101productionhouse. From there, we shipped to Charles (Japan) who numbered and signed the prints, who then shipped to @s.maharba (UK) to sign, who then shipped back to us (Los Angeles) to include with each order.

These prints have traveled around the world for over 16k miles (25749km), and redistributed back to you. Lots of stress and trust in our postal employees around the globe to not absolutely wreck these packages. Luckily everything worked out.
