Our Professional Development Course (PDC) Coordinator, Laverne Hilton-Thompson, has been on a radio tour this week, sharing the exciting news about how YOU can reskill or upskill through one of our short PDCs!

Ms. Hilton-Thompson is pictured alongside BTVI’s Straw Craft I and Straw Craft II instructor, Keesha Johnson, who pours her expertise into students, empowering them to create gorgeous straw craft pieces!

Adding to the excitement, they were guests of our very own Media Technology graduate, Alexander “Ace” Pinder, host of Star 106.5 FM’s Afternoon Tea.

Thank you Ms. Hilton-Thompson, for shining a spotlight on our Fall 2026 PDC offerings and inspiring others to invest in their professional growth!

Good food, great company, and a meaningful cause!

Today, the BTVI community came together for some freshly fried fritters, refreshing lemonade, and fellowship in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

A little food, a few laughs, and a reminder that showing support can be as simple as coming together.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and shared in the afternoon!

Today's BITEM Fun Day brought students, faculty and staff together for some fun, food and friendly competition with a basketball shooting tournament! Meanwhile, our Electronics and Media Technology students put their skills into action, handling the technical setup and conducting interviews throughout the event.

Breast Cancer Awareness at BTVI is about more than wearing pink. It's about standing together, showing compassion and reminding those affected that they are not alone.

Every act of awareness brings hope, encourages early detection and strengthens our community.

Together, we stand. Together, we support.
