SARP is partnering with IMPACT for the 3rd year in a row because their approach to self-defense centers survivors and empowerment.

IMPACT addresses how to respond to both verbal and physical harassment without reinforcing rape myths or blaming survivors for their victimization.

Join us next Monday on the BU medical campus 5-7pm. Registration is required for this event. by @bu.sarp

Join us for a fireside chat, including an audience Q&A, with Isa Noyola, the Director of the Transgender Law Center, on Wednesday, October 14 at 6pm in the LGBTQIA+ Student Resource Center. We’ll serve dinner and drinks throughout the event, and you can take time to network with event attendees after the fireside chat.

Isa is a pioneering trans-Latina activist and national leader in the LGBTQ+ immigrant rights movement serving within the US and across the US southern border. As a passionate and seasoned organizer rooted in her community, she advocates for the abolition of oppressive systems that criminalize, harm and dehumanize immigrant communities of the global majority.

We hope to see you there! Register at our Link in Bio.

Open to all BU faculty, staff, and students.

Sponsored by the College of Engineering - Outreach & Diversity (@bostonuniversityengineering), LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff (@bu_lgbtqia), LGBTQIA+ Student Resource Center (@bupride), and Survivor Advocacy, Response & Prevention (@bu.sarp) by @bu.sarp

With recent national news about campus sexual violence, many students may be feeling concerned, angry, sad, or unsure of how to respond.

If you need support, SARP and Student Health Services are here. We offer free, confidential advocacy, crisis support, education, and resources for BU students.

If you're looking for a way to channel concern into action, consider attending our upcoming events, participating in a SARP training, or exploring volunteer/work opportunities with SARP.

This Sexual Assault Awareness Month we wanted to talk about survivor storytelling because it can be incredibly healing for many survivors. Remember, you deserve to have autonomy in if, how, and when you tell your story. For more survivor storytelling resources, check out @ourwavestories and metoomvmt. by @bu.sarp
