HERE SHE IS in all her handwoven, hand quilted rainbow glory 🤟

I began making this blanket on a whim after working hard to finish several other blankets that I spent the spring and summer weaving and sewing.

I have spent years and years making beautiful handwoven cloth, but this blanket was made out of all the leftover bits. The parts that could easily have been discarded. And I think it is the most beautiful BLANKET I have ever made ❤️

I love before and after! When weaving waffles with cotton thread you will always get a crinkle after washing because it shrinks. I am curious to try weaving this structure in wool sometime because I love how clearly you can see it before washing.

Any thoughts about waffles 🧇 🤔 :) Does anyone have experience weaving waffle weave with wool? When it is finished do you still see the structure as it was on the loom?
