Student Spotlight! : Eowyn Andres ‘27

Eowyn Andres is a senior at Freeman studying Markets, Innovation & Design. Her research focuses on culture, identity, and consumer behavior, with a particular interest in East Asian representation in fashion.

Eowyn recently presented her research on cultural appropriation in the fashion industry at the Association for Consumer Research (ACR) Annual Conference in Chicago, an international conference bringing together consumer researchers from around the world. She began the project as a summer researcher at Bucknell in 2023 and has continued developing it independently throughout her undergraduate career, including presenting her work at the Kalman Symposium and the American Marketing Association conference.

Outside of research, Eowyn combines her interests in marketing and visual storytelling through graphic design and creative projects. She has designed two original shirt designs for Bucknell’s Freeman College of Management, bringing her creative perspective and design skills directly into the Freeman community. by @bucknellmgmt

Meet Takai Whitmore, a senior Finance major who gained hands-on investment banking experience through a Parker Dewey Micro-Internship!

Takai worked on an investment banking pitch deck, where he developed due diligence questions, conducted competitor analysis, and made a company recommendation. The experience strengthened his banking skills and gave him a better understanding of the research and attention to detail that go into valuing a company and developing client-ready presentations.

His advice for students considering a Micro-Internship?

“My advice to students considering a Parker Dewey Micro-Internship is to complete as many micro-internships as possible while exploring different career paths. These experiences help you discover what type of work you enjoy, develop valuable skills, and build relationships with companies you may want to work for in the future.” by @bucknellmgmt

Meet Amy Villa, a sophomore Finance major who gained hands-on experience through two Parker Dewey Micro-Internships!

Across her projects, Amy developed a market expansion recommendation for a veterinary practice and helped a wellness practice strengthen its digital presence. Along the way, she built her market research, business analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills while applying what she’s learned in the classroom to real business challenges.

Her advice for students considering a Micro-Internship?

“Apply to multiple opportunities, especially those that align with your interests or career goals. When you’re genuinely interested in the project, it’s much easier to stay motivated, produce high-quality work, and gain meaningful experience.” by @bucknellmgmt
