Got to cook alongside the Top Chef gang in Charlotte for cookiesforkids, and this one hit different.

Cookies for Kids’ Cancer started when Gretchen Witt’s 2-year-old son Liam was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. She baked 96,000 cookies, raised over $400,000, and turned it into a movement funding better, less toxic treatments for kids fighting cancer, the number one disease killer of children in the US.

As a dad, I don’t take nights like this lightly. Grateful to everyone who showed up and gave.

We kicked off summer with Chefs Rhoda Magbitang, Oscar Diaz, Brittany Cochran and Sieger Bayer of @bravotopchef Season 23. Now, they’re coming back for one night only on Saturday, August 29.

Rooted in Hawaiʻi’s backyard kānikapila tradition, the reunion moves from kitchen to shoreline, with a whole pig roasting, island fare from each chef, local musicians playing into sunset and plenty of time to talk story.

Little Bull is growing and moving into a new home in the heart of downtown Durham. 🐂

The Michelin Guide modern Mexican restaurant from Top Chef and James Beard semifinalist Chef Oscar Diaz @buenosdiaz is relocating from its current home at 810 N. Mangum Street to 301 Chapel Hill Street, inside the historic 1910 building at CCB Plaza.

The new space preserves the building's character and history, incorporating the original wood into a striking staircase connecting the main dining room to the upstairs bar.

Guests can expect the same pocho-inspired cuisine that blends Diaz's Mexican heritage with the American flavors he grew up with. A new wood-fired grill introduces new live-fire dishes to the menu.

@littlebullnc will continue serving dinner beginning at 5 pm, with weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekday lunch service is planned to launch this fall, marking the restaurant's first-ever lunch offering.

The restaurant's final service at its current location will be tomorrow, Sunday, July 26, before reopening at its new downtown Durham home on Tuesday, August 4. by @buenosdiaz
