Creating and developing the Buggalow Fly Box has been fun, exciting, stressful, expensive and time consuming… It’s an accessory I really believe adds time-saving convenience to the day and is just fun to use! Pick one up and you won’t be disappointed. Thanks to everyone who has supported me in this venture.

Please only buy from the posted websites. There are fake websites advertising they have Buggalow fly boxes. This is false and I am confident they are just taking your money without having any products whatsoever. Please share this information. Advertisements have been seen on Facebook as far as I know and websites like Tridenpfishing and Nationnoval are SCAMS! by @buggalowflybox

Next up on Makers On The Drift is @buggalowflybox.

Buggalow was created by David Waltman, an avid angler based in Colorado with experience guiding fly fishing in both Utah and Georgia. Fishing waters like the Frying Pan River and the Roaring Fork River, he set out to solve a simple problem he noticed over years on the water.

The idea was straightforward: fly anglers carry tools everywhere, but not their flies in a way that’s equally accessible and efficient.

After years of thinking through the concept, Waltman designed a cylindrical fly box that is compact, easy to carry, simple to open, and capable of holding enough flies for the average angler. After multiple iterations and refinements, the Buggalow was developed as a practical, wearable solution built specifically for real use on the water.

All Buggalow products are made in the USA using PETG plastic, which is fully recyclable. Excess material from production is sent to Printerior Designs, where it is reused to create new material, helping reduce waste and limit environmental impact.

Was able to get on the river this evening for a much needed fly fishing session! Was able to avoid the rain and landed this nice brown trout on a size 18 nymph! The @buggalowflybox is hands down one of my favorite pieces of gear, easy access to change flies quick without digging through a pack! #flyfishing #browntrout #troutbum #outdoors #virginia by @buggalowflybox

Huge thank you to @fryingpananglers! This is my home shop and the first to take on the Buggalow Fly Box. They have the best guides in the area and a really great selection of flies and gear. If you’re heading out to the Roaring Fork or the Frying Pan, you gotta stop by this Basalt based fly shop!
