April 7th… the day you left us,
but your love will forever stay with us.

I will never be okay
with the way we lost you.
It shouldn’t have happened.
I can’t stop thinking about you, Benz…
and I don’t think I will for a long time.
I’m so angry. I’m so heartbroken.
You didn’t deserve that.
You were so young…
you had so much life left.

But looking into your eyes…
we knew you were ready.
We just weren’t ready to let you go.
Knowing you’re no longer suffering
is what brings a little bit of peace.

You were the sweetest,
happiest little soul,
and all you ever did was love.
We miss you more than words can explain.
Aunty loves you so, so much.

Rest in peace, sweet baby boy Benzy ❤️🕊️

PNW UPDog Competition 2026 🥏✨
(Better late than never)

This weekend wasn’t about ribbons or placements for us. We didn’t place in anything, and honestly, I couldn’t care less because I walked away so incredibly proud of this girl.

Gigi managed to do something we’ve been working toward for so long… not only did she hit a frisbee vault off my back and catch it, SHE DID IT TWICE. 😭

With 59 dogs in her division I think?? The competition was tough, and Gigi isn’t quite as quick as she once was. She’ll be 9 next month, and I’m realizing more and more that our success doesn’t need to be measured by placements.

This is only our second or third year really focusing on freestyle together, and even though I went into this competition nowhere near as prepared as we normally are, she still gave me everything she had.

As she gets older, I’ve started pulling her from a lot of the running games to protect her joints and keep her feeling good for as long as possible. Our competition days may look a little different now, but getting out there with her and watching her nail something we’ve worked so hard on means more to me than any ribbon ever could.

So damn proud of you, Gigi. 🥹💗

A little Piggy appreciation post 🐷🩷

It’s taken us about a year to really find our groove with disc. Piggy hasn’t always been the easiest dog to figure out, and I’ve had to learn to slow down, listen to her, celebrate the little wins and let her progress at her own pace.

Watching her confidence grow and seeing her start to truly understand and enjoy this game has made every bit of patience worth it. She may not know it, but she’s taught me just as much as I’ve taught her. 🥹

I’m so proud of the little disc dog she’s becoming and so excited to see where we go from here.

And a huge thank you to everyone who has encouraged us, offered advice, thrown for her, cheered her on and helped us along the way. It really does take a village, and I’m incredibly grateful for ours. 🫶🏼🥏

Proud of you, Pig Pig. We’re just getting started. ❤️

Throwback because I realized I never posted these!!

Piggy’s first dock diving days… she definitely needed a little push (literally 🤏😂), but look at that last picture!!

Also, appreciation post for my boyfriend because he’s always down for whatever dog thing I’ve got planned next. From carrying all my crap, helping with the dogs, driving everywhere, and standing in the heat all day… thanks for always supporting me, even when it means your weekends revolve around our four-legged kids. ❤️ We appreciate you more than you know. by @built2chase

Meet Luna 💦🐾

Luna is my mom’s dog, but getting to know her has been such a gift. She’s the sweetest, most sensitive soul, always wanting to please and always wanting to do whatever her big sister Harlee is doing.

The hard part? Luna absolutely loves swimming, but every time we take her to the lake she ends up incredibly itchy and breaks out in hot spots. It breaks our hearts because being in the water is one of her favorite things.

So watching her discover dock diving meant more than I can put into words. For the first time, she got to do what she loves without the aftermath that usually comes with it.

Anyone who knows Luna knows she’s already an incredible disc dog. That girl can fly. So seeing her launch off the big dock for the first time felt like such a natural fit.

And judging by this photo… I’d say she was born to do it.

A huge thank you to @the.caninehub for bringing dock diving to the Okanagan and giving dogs like Luna the chance to do what they love. And thank you to Tiny Fables for capturing these moments so perfectly.

Now it’s time to start practicing Air Retrieve with this girl… and I have a feeling she’s going to love that too. 💦🐾 taken in Armstrong, British Columbia by @built2chase
