If I could give advice to my self prior to this session… 👇🏻

1. Sun rays make a huge difference. Basically any exposure to sun completely removed the color in those sections, so plan your session accordingly, later if possible!

2. Make sure your black backdrop is not transparent… this will save you many hours in photoshop!

3. Although floating powder can be enhanced, the power inches away or directly on the dog’s fur is super difficult to fudge, so make sure it’s there & showing!

4. Go until you have an athletic looking jump, even if this means using more holi, no one needs a photo of their dog casually walking with powder… it’s all or nothing!

5. Don’t be embarrassing to say you missed the shot. You might be a good photoshop’er but your time is valuable and definitely worth a few extra bags of holi!

2023 Toss & Fetch WWC & UpDog Triple Crown Photo Dump 🥏

Our last disc trial has come and gone, and it's bittersweet. 😌 As the year starts to wind down, I'm feeling a mix of emotions – sad to see it end, but relieved for a much-needed break! 😅

this was definitely our best trial of the summer! we got to try out some new UpDog games we hadn't played yet and both Dipper & Fakes hit some personal bests in Frizgility that I'm so incredibly proud of! 🏆✨

we also had the best time camping and road-tripping with @thekareliantails! honestly, I'm just so thankful for our friendship! 🫶

a massive shoutout to @kelownadiscdogs for hosting another incredible trial – can't wait to reunite next year! 🤩

and to all the vendors and shops that donated prizes for the volunteers and for the raffles! 🙏

being a part of the dog sport world and playing with my dogs is a big part of my life and one of my absolute favorite things about having dogs! this is a topic many of you have shown interest in lately, so @thekareliantails and I are putting our heads together to create a post about how to navigate this world a little smoother and share the stuff we wish we knew when we started out! 🌟

If you've got questions about the dog sport scene, don't hesitate to DM me, and keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming post! 🐾📢

2023 Toss + Fetch WWC & UpDog Triple Crown Recap!

What a weekend! We couldn’t have asked for a better group of dogs and dedicated humans!

This event truly took a village to come to life and to run as successfully as it did!

We wanted to send out a massive thank you to everyone involved from our sponsors, competitors, volunteers, vendors and of course the North Westside Community Association for hosting us on their beautiful field!

Congratulations to everyone on your successes both big and small this weekend!

We are so excited to be invited back next year to host at Westshore Estates Community Park!

Disc Doggin’ 🥏⚡️

If you’ve been wondering what we’ve been up to all summer- pretty much this!
Back in the early spring, @adogloverstale convinced me to come to a disc trial. Aaaand now I’m hooked.
Disc has basically taken over our lives in the best way possible, and I’ve had so much fun convincing Tad to be a sport dog while June’s away. We’re fully invested in this sport, from training to be an Updog Judge, hosting mini trials, running weekly events, dyeing custom discs, and hosting our first official trial in September!
Instagram has taken a bit of a backseat for this, but don’t worry, we’re still managing to adventure in between, and photography will never not be a passion of mine.
I just happened to find another as well 😈

I'm very envious of those of you who can get great photos of 2 or more dogs together, with everyone being in focus and not sitting together awkwardly 😂
But I'm also trying not to be super picky with photos, even though this photo is pretty unexciting and not everyone is in focus, it still holds a memory of a fun evening!
We had a nice little sunset hike with @harleedoodles and the pups had a blast playing in the water at the end.
Here's to more summer memories! (And hopefully the heat dies down a bit after this weekend. I'm not prepared to melt 😅)
