Here’s to 32! 🎉

813 days sober, in the best shape of my life, and genuinely happy with the life I’m living today.

The last few years have brought some of the biggest changes, hardest lessons, and greatest blessings of my life.

I’m grateful for my sobriety, my health, being a dad, the incredible people I’ve met along the way, those who have stood by me, and the opportunities I’ve been given.

I’ve spent the last few years rebuilding myself and creating a life I no longer feel the need to escape from. And that’s something I’ll never take for granted.

Life looks a whole lot different than it used to, and I wouldn’t trade what I have today for anything.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but even more excited for everything that’s still ahead.

Here’s to 32! 🤙

I wanted this life so damn bad back then.

I wanted more for myself. For my family. For my daughter.

But I was trapped in the cycle of addiction. Making promises I couldn’t keep, knowing I was capable of so much more.

July 23, 2024. I finally chose to break that cycle.

87 pounds down. Over 2 years sober.

But the biggest transformation isn’t what you see.

It’s the man I’ve become.

And I’m just getting started. 🔥

Sobriety did that.

Yeah, there was a calorie deficit. There were early mornings, workouts, meal prep, tracking macros and a whole lot of discipline involved.

But none of that happens without getting sober first.

The life I’m living today and the body I’ve built are a direct result of putting the alcohol down and learning how to become a promise keeper to myself.

I stopped waking up hungover and started waking up with a purpose.

I stopped making promises to myself that I knew I wouldn’t keep.

And I started stacking days.

One workout.
One meal.
One decision.
One promise kept at a time.

Eventually those promises started changing more than my body.

They changed my life.

Sobriety gave me the foundation.

Keeping my promises built everything on top of it.
