1,000 posts… wild. I’ve experienced the full emotional spectrum: from the joy of a perfect joint to the betrayal of a warped board to the many existential crisises of not finding a single one of my 14 tape measures.

Before we kick off the next thousand posts, thought it was time to reintroduce the human behind the clamps, chaos, and questionable time estimates.

What started in my garage in South Florida as a solo passion project has grown into something way bigger. From custom builds to chaotic shop experiments, every project has been shaped by the most supportive, talented, and generous people around me, this amazing woodworking communtiy.

“Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us”

Here are a few of the final 📸 of the memorial cask I made for my father in law.

This was by far the hardest project I’ve had to make and in the shortest amount of time. My father in law was always so supportive of me and of my woodworking, even bragging to his friends about my work. It was such a great honor to build his final resting place, and I hope I made him proud with this one.

My scrap bin is full for a reason. You never know when those leftover pieces will be just the right size for a project.

These hardwood scraps went from sitting on the rack to becoming part of my Halloween jack-o’-lantern collection.

My son spotted some Halloween decorations at the store, and naturally, the maker in me thought, “I can make that.”

So we headed to the shop, he picked out the faces, and I put the CNC to work. But getting to paint one together ended up being my favorite part of the whole project.

One of the first jigs I wanted for the new fence was a sacrificial fence. Now I can make cuts like this without worrying about hitting the aluminum.
