Making progress on this little board with a juice groove and juice collection point. I know there must be easier ways to do the juice groove, but just finding my way! #brisket #findingmyway #handmade #bespoke #supportsmallbusiness

What a mail call today from my friend Bryan @builtbybricker , getting home from work and seeing this box with his stickers on the side was a surprise. This is part of our gift exchange in our makers fantasy football league that Bryan is the founder of. He blew me away with these pen displays, he is the kong of holders for tools, now he can add pen holders to the list. Bryan is a great person, he puts so much time into bigger things. The Autism Acceptance fundraiser that he helped put together, that just wrapped up, brought so many people together for a great cause. These gifts from him mean a lot thank you Bryan!

Still shots of this axe for @newedgetool

I had a blast making this for Eric! He has so much skill that it was intimidating to craft something for him but…. I think he will really enjoy swinging this axe. Thanks again for the opportunity to make you a full size axe!

31” hickory handle with palm swell material from @builtbybricker. @gabes_throwfiles wedge.

@rmpfinishes pure tung oil.

Finished up this Vaughan sub zero hollow ground axe for @newedgetool. Eric provided the axe head. Hung on a 31” hickory stick with palm swell material from @builtbybricker. Wedged with a designer wedge from the man @gabes_throwfiles.

I really enjoy collaborating with other makers. It was such a joy to build this for Eric!

Finished off with pure tung oil from @rmpfinishes

Still shots coming in the next post.

I don't do many "reveal" vidoes... but this is a reveal "for a cause". I was ecstatic to get my winning bid item from @builtbybricker following the #makersforacause auction. The collaboration with @tony_turns_wood is amazing! And I couldn't be happier. It's a real piece of art.

The personalized Thank You note really says a lot about @builtbybricker and his character. Hoping to help bring even more attention to this auction next year during Autism Acceptance Month.

Super stoked to get the winning bid for this amazing piece and collaboration between @builtbybricker and @tony_turns_wood

It's all part of Autism Acceptance Month and @builtbybricker efforts to raise money during his Makers For A Cause fund raising event. I'm proud to have been able to participate for the last two years and look forward to next year! If you aren't part of this yet, please give @builtbybricker a follow so you don't miss out next year.

For the past few years, my buddies Bryan and Andrew have organized raffles and auctions in April benefiting a special needs school here in Florida to go along with April being autism acceptance month.. here’s some stills of the pieces I made for this year’s Makers for a Cause raffle.

For the tray, I revisited an approach I’d experimented with before, casting solid acrylic blocks first, then carving the piece out of them rather than pouring directly into a mold.. That cross cut reveals dramatic shifts in the cells and color movement, almost crystal or mineral like formations hidden inside the pour. I carried a transparent infinity symbol all the way through the tray to represent the infinite variation, strengths, and perspectives within neurodiversity..

For the coasters and caddy, I took a ‘quieter’ approach.. still plenty of motion, but slowed down. Muted tones, matte finish paired with leopard wood. It may seem subtle.. but, I put a lot of thought into the internal design of the coasters, using curved sides that bow away from the flat sides of the puzzle piece, with straight edges set against the curved tabs.. I dug it. I carried the puzzle cutout into the cork lining of the caddy. Tried to be a little warmer, a little more ‘grounded’.. Different, not less.

Really honored to contribute something to a cause close to my heart. If you’ve got a minute, check out my piece and the other incredible raffle items at builtbybricker.com under the Makers for a Cause tab. I’d really appreciate it.

Looking for some real advice, from real people out there. There are a lot of "influencers" that will give you guidance on growing your followers and business... most are for a fee.

But I want to hear from those of you who have done it! .. Grown your account the natural way over time.. with success!! If you had just one or two suggestions what would it be? Post more? Post shorter videos? Post longer detailed videos? Pics only? Tag businesses? Tag people? Dont worry about it and let it happen... or Who Cares!!! Let me know your thoughts and comment below.. Thank you all!
