Together in celebration of World Music Day, @chopemdownfilms, @bullfunkzoo and @vinylsoukdxb are bringing together visual storytellers from around the world to contribute to a collaborative short film inspired by Bull Funk Zoo’s track Power of Love from the album PY.

In conceptualizing a visual idea that reflects the song and its purpose, we engineered a simple question:

What are we capable of, as filmmakers from all corners of the world, when turning our cameras towards the same idea?

The initiative aims to capture small moments: a gesture, a moment of care, an act of kindness, a connection. Globally relatable reflections of love, in any expression.

We’re looking for filmmakers who believe in the power that emerges from our ordinary moments

Register your interest and receive the full creative brief and project details.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you.

An Evening with Bull Funk Zoo and their music

We’ll be performing tracks from our latest album PY, while talking through the process of writing, producing, building ideas from scratch, and letting music move in real time.

We’ll also be diving into philosophies behind the sound, improvisation in motion, with audience collaboration woven into the experience.

Curated by none other than Ratish Chadha.

✨ The Power of Love ✨

In these dark and painful times, when so many of our brothers and sisters are suffering beyond words, I wrote this song — Power of Love — as a small offering of hope, unity, and healing.

💫 “When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.” — Jimi Hendrix

💛 I invite you: close your eyes, take a breath, and listen deeply to this live performance.

Let it remind us: love one another.
Love your family.
Love your friends.
Love your colleagues.
Love even those you don’t know.

That’s what we have. That’s what will carry us through.

🌿 This is for all who are suffering. May love guide us to peace.

Bull Funk Zoo - guitar
@radishcheddar - drums
@steve_spacist - bass
@jdeligero - keys/percs
@yervand.margaryan - trumpet

A year ago on Record Store Day, @bullfunkzoo dropped PY.

A record that feels less like an album and more like a portal — A raw, unfiltered transmission from the unknown, where psychedelic funk collides with jazz, rock, and electronica.

This Sunday, join us for a special talk and listening session with Assaad Lakkis aka Bull Funk Zoo as we revisit PY and step deeper into this portal.

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace” Jimi Hendrix

The song “Power Of Love” on the new album PY is dedicated to all our brothers and sisters who are suffering, dying, and being starved to death in Gaza, Sudan, Congo. It’s time we all understand and acknowledge what the power of love is and what it does for all humanity.
The current reality we are facing is truly lacking the power of love and is thriving on the love of power, is this what we want for the future? I believe not.
Remember to acknowledge your friends, family, strangers and set an example of what it is to truly understand and practice the power of love. Peace BFZ
