a race season or something like it. saw all the variations of what gravel is - steamboat is still one of my favorite places to ride and mammoth has more sand than should be allowed. did some crit for the bit because i keep saying this is my last season.

but the bike continues to take me to beautiful places, see lovely friends, and push my body to do things I’m often not sure I can do. got a few podiums but at this point it’s really for the love of the game.

s/o to my @teampeachcycling girls for riding and training with me, you all push and inspire me to be a better rider. many thanks to my coach @_jrho0_ for keeping me in the game this season despite the odds (eye infection days before SBT 👀). grateful for the sponsors that keep me in the best gear in the game @giordanacycling @exposure.lights @hydrapak @saltstick ✨

Power couple in action

I’m out of the states for almost 6 weeks, I’m missing my best friend and our cats. A new chapter of my work life has begun, Sarah’s support keeps me grounded while being on the other side of the globe and I’m so grateful and secure knowing we’re in each other’s corner even with such a distance between us

meet my new (to me) speed machine 🐉

it truly takes a village to build a dream bike and I’m so thankful for my village for helping me. @ayesuppose offered up some old frames to @theeabundanceproject group and I was quick to raise my hand for this dreamy green @livcycling 2020 EnviLiv frame. @dev_rox packed it up perfectly and sent it my way from Atlanta.

it took a few months, because bikes aren’t cheap, but with help from my girly @nomes_world I slowly gathered all the parts. the finishing touch is the @eastoncycling wheelset that @sean_eric_martin gave me. some girls get jewelry or handbags, I got wheels and couldn’t be happier.
Wilbur killed it on the build, especially on a tight deadline to get it done in time for Chicago Grit.

Sweden in the summer is a dream. Walkable towns, lovely humans, lots of ice cream and sweets, fika, and bikes for everyone. It was made even more special by being there to visit Sean and Kelly’s family. Being able to connect names with faces and cherished childhood stories with their places was magical.

Sean’s little cousin, Jovis, asked why I had to leave and Sean explained that I only had a week off for vacation and that in the US that’s pretty good. Jovis said I was nice and should have 10 weeks off. Maybe someday, but the week I had was amazing and I can’t wait to go back to the land of perfect summers, Pippi ice cream, and mythical little island creatures. taken in Aspö, Karlskrona by @bumsesh

Another @sbtgrvl in the books! This time I got to ride with the @allclubs_la #femmestones crew. For the last six months our bi-coastal crew has been learning, riding together in person or on Zwift, and prepping. I’m so proud of everyone on our team from the first time gravelers to the well seasoned racers. We did that!

the land of the midnight sun. the place that raised my favorite Martins. somewhere that feels familiar and entirely foreign at the same time.

it was a trip built on love. getting to meet Kelly and Sean’s people, seeing the places that shaped them, and honoring their parents by spreading their mothers’ ashes alongside their fathers’.

As I get ready to head off to go my thing in Serbia, I gotta say how proud I am to be Sarah’s partner in this thing called life

I’ll get back home, we’ll go off to L&F together and then she’ll head off to do her thing and then we repeat this all summer and into fall; ultras, crits, gravel, guide work!

We’re gonna be together for some of it but most it we’ll be apart for big chunks but we’ve been doing the work on and off the bike to be the best support for each other through these journeys!
