Only a 12 hour drive 🤷‍♀️5 days ago my dad passed away in my home while I was holding his hand. Having four young kids at home we felt it was important to show them that happiness and grief can co exist, so we took advantage of our military annual passes and drove through the night. Yesterday I could barely get out of bed, and I still cry about every 10 minutes, and I’ll definitely lose my shit again on this grief journey, but for two days we can give our kids uninhibited joy. 💙

Y’all let me know, how much did it cost you to have a baby? Whatever amount, it was likely too much. We all know that having accessible, affordable healthcare is what can help make American families stronger and we all deserve to have it.

I love the chaplain corps, so much so I can’t sit idly by while Hegseth works to destroy it. Please go check out @_lauraodea.ma

Doing it all and then some was never meant to be manageable, and if you need to outsource your village so you can show up where you cannot be replaced, please know that is okay. Actually it’s more than okay. Take care of each other where you can, because one day, you might need help too.
