The United States hasn't held a public execution in nearly a century. That could change on December 3rd, after the Pentagon announced Nidal Hasan will be put to death by firing squad during a publicly broadcast livestream.

The only countries that have televised public executions are Iran, North Korea, and Afghanistan. That's not the list we should be proud to join. Punishment is one thing. Turning an execution into live entertainment is another. America is better than this. Follow @votevets for more.

Elon Musk is back in Washington, and this time he's headed to the Pentagon. Musk will help lead "Project Meridian," a study meant to shape "the future of U.S. military warfare" by identifying which weapons the Pentagon should mass-produce.
