Here are a few insights into the exhibition catalogue for ‘The Senses of Plants’ @villamerkel The catalogue, published by @distanzverlag, has 240 pages on which the works of the participating artists are presented in large format. In addition, there are various texts dealing with artistic and scientific positions, exhibition aspects and indigenous perspectives. The complete colouring of the pages by theme enables a quick navigation through the catalogue. The entire catalogue was printed on Munken Kristal Rough paper.

After we were able to design the exhibition ‚Mein Körper, ein Korallenriff? // My Body, A Coral Reef?‘, the bilingual catalog was also published this year. Our editorial design separates the two languages with different colors and layouts, making it easier to navigate through the catalog. The catalog features works by Arjan Brentjes, Imayna Caceres, Alicia Frankovich, Dominique Koch, Pei-Ying Lin, Theresa Schubert, Saša Spačal and Emma Wilson as well as texts by Lynn Margulis, Andreas Reckwitz, Saša Spačal, René Zechlin and Julia Katharina Thiemann.
The exhibition at @wilhelmhackmuseum was conceived and curated by @juliakatharinathiemann

@flixflexen and @annapirot took over the art direction for the current issue of @dummymagazin with the topic “nerves”. The whole issue is realized with fonts from @abcdinamo - with evergreens like the #ABCMonumentGrotesk but also newcomers like the #ABCDailySlab 👌

Once again this year, we had the pleasure of designing the 5th edition of the Jewish Film Festival Frankfurt hosted by @juedischegemeindeffm_kultur . An abstraction of the projection rings can be found as a design element in a wide variety of arrangements on all media. Here is an insight into the program booklet, which was printed with a glossy varnish on the cover as a contrast to the rough paper on the inside pages. The projection rings can also be found in the editorial design of the inside pages with a slight change in color.

The Jewish Film Festival Frankfurt takes place until 15.09. and has a very varied and exciting program. Better be fast with the tickets!

Das Programm ist da - nächste Woche geht es los!
Unter dem Titel „The Cosmologies of Objects” stellt sich der Think Tank der Initiative @talking_objects_lab dieser Frage in Kooperation mit der @kfwstiftung
Vom 3. bis zum 6. Juli 2024 werden Künstler*innen und Forscher*innen aus dem Senegal, Kenia und Deutschland in die #Villa102 und das @museumangewandtekunst eingeladen, um das in Objekten gespeicherte Wissen sichtbar zu machen.

Die begleitende Ausstellung „The Cosmologies of Objects“ in der Villa 102 zeigt Kunstwerke, die von Adam Yawe (@not_really_adam ), Élise Fitte-Duval (@elisefitteduval ) und Karwitha Kirimi (#KarwithaKirimi ) im Rahmen des TALKING OBJECTS Residenzprogramms entwickelt wurden.

TALKING OBJECTS ARCHIVE ist eine digitale Plattform für dekoloniale Wissensproduktion, die im Dezember 2024 veröffentlicht wird. Das Archiv, das gemeinsam mit African Digital Heritage (@africadheritage ) entwickelt wird, ist an Polyperspektivität und pluralem Wissen interessiert und bricht mit europäischen Epistemologien und Denkschulen. Ausgehend von Objekten, die aus den Sammlungen europäischer und afrikanischer Museen zusammengetragen wurden, soll ein vielstimmiges Wissensuniversum aufgefächert werden. Im Zuge der Entwicklung des digitalen Archivs finden drei Think Tanks statt: in Dakar (Mai 2023), in Frankfurt (Juli 2024) und in Nairobi (2024).

Die TALKING OBJECTS THINK TANKS werden in Kooperation mit der KfW Stiftung entwickelt und durchgeführt.
