A day spent working my way through some of the best burgers at the festival. Safe to say, I ate well 😂 Here’s what I tried: 🍔 @smash_n_slide – BLK Truffle Black truffle mayo, beef-fat grilled mushroom with edam cheese, crispy fried onion, dill pickles and served on a Martin’s Potato Roll 🌶️ Smash N Slide – Naga Rage Naganaise, American cheese, crispy fried onion and pickled red onions, all on a Martin’s potato roll brushed with Naga butter. This was incredible. One of the standouts of the day. 🥓 @black_bear_burger – Bacon Cheeseburger Dry-aged beef, cheese, smoked bacon, classic sauce, pickle relish and white onion. Nothing overly complicated, just a really solid burger done properly. 🌶️ @gurtwings – Beefy As F*ck Buffalo Crispy chicken with a rich buttery buffalo sauce, American cheese, roasted garlic ranch, beef seasoning and chives. I had high expectations for this one, but it didn’t quite hit for me and was a little messy. 🍗 @chicken_george_jnr – Dad’s Nutty Malaysian Dip Burger Malaysian fried chicken, pickled cucumber & coriander slaw, crispy shallots and chilli sambal, served with their nutty Malaysian curry sauce dip. Loved this one. Completely different flavour profile from the others and the curry dip worked ridiculously well. 🍔 @zephyrburgers – California Aged beef, American cheese, house pickles, crispy onions, pink onions, iceberg and house sauce. Decent burger, but nothing that really stood out compared with some of the others. 🏆 @smiths_of_bourton – Smiths Classic Dry-aged beef, burnt butter miso mayo, pickles, pickled onions, bacon and American cheese. Probably my burger of the day. Loads of umami, great balance and everything you want from a burger. Overall, some amazing burgers and an incredible day at @burger_fest_uk. Already looking forward to the next one Brilliant job by @fat_boi_ldn and his team. 🍔 Burger of the day: Smiths Classic 🏆 Biggest surprise: Chicken George 🇲🇾 Honourable mention: Naga Rage 🌶️ taken in Richmond Athletic Stadium by @burger_fest_uk

🍔 We were invited to @burger_fest_uk 2026 in Richmond, London as official judges to help crown the festival’s best burger. During this amazing event, we reviewed all 16 competing beef burgers. After a full day of judging, one burger stood above the rest and was awarded the coveted ”Burgerdudes Best Burger belt”. If you build burgers🍔 they will come!🤘 I attended the 2nd year of @burger_fest_uk in Richmond🎉 An absolutely mind blowing 🤯 celebration of baps N filling that brought together some of the best in the UK & Ireland that make burgers of all shapes & sizes😋 Last year it was amazing, but this year it was special. There was so much passion. So much care, attention and ❤️ The energy was off the grill🔥 As an avid food & drink festival goer, this topped it. Not every festival achieves such genuine ingredients. So organic. For anyone who wants to taste and be inspired by the best of the best, go to @slice_o_mania and @the_tacover_uk and of course Burger Fest 2027🤘Expect more food idiocy from me at these food fests and come say hello😎 MASSIVE kudos to @fat_boi_ldn @nedboyd Noel and the incredible staff and vendors. You are the people’s champion. INDUSTRY AWARD WINNERS - @dashburger_ Now the dust has settled it’s time to look back over all of our winners and the industry award is one that we think holds a lot of weight. Voted for by other burger business owners and chefs who visited the festival over the weekend. The award is a true reflection of a professional burger choice. @dashburger_ deserve extra special special credit for this as as not only was it their first ever event outside of Ireland but their first ever festival pop up altogether. Vigorously working to find UK based suppliers who’s matched the quality of their Irish products, this included flying over just to sample their @aubreyallenwholesale beef who supplied them for the weekend. The definition of a perfect smash burger Barry and his team have not only developed a great burger but their own smashing technique that sets them apart. How was this over 2 weeks ago! We still pinch ourselves that we were even part of @burger_fest_uk We might not of lifted the belt but it’s put us on the map! So many new pals, contacts and opportunities 💥 Right piece are back focusing on our 3 Norwich venues! THROW BACK VIDEO TO @burger_fest_uk Turning up in our brand new truck, not being able to trade for the first day, being ready to pack up and go home, one member of staff going home unwell, bringing @chickenjay_york down as an emergency replacement and then the van being fixed literally an hour before we were due to open Saturday……we couldn’t of asked for a worse start! Taking home the Best Chicken Burger selected by @wingfestuk was an unbelievable achievement against the odds.
