A new smash burger has entered the chat, Toronto, and this one is coming all the way from Ottawa. 🇨🇦

Ottawa’s popular @smashdaddy613 has opened its doors in Toronto, taking over the former PG Clucks space on Queen Street. And some of the interior may look a little familiar! 👀

Toronto already has its fair share of smash burger joints, but hey, what’s one more? Smash Daddy is keeping things simple with a small menu of offerings, so if you’re craving a crispy-edged smash burger, this new spot might be right up your alley. 🙌

🍔 Jalapeno Papa • two beef patties topped with Canadian cheddar, sweet griddled onions, fresh griddled and pickled jalapeños, Smash Daddy sauce and sour cream on a buttered brioche bun

I had the pleasure of heading back to @fridayburgerco for another one of their burger omakase dinners, and this time, @chefjoefriday debuted a whole new menu. ✨

If you need a refresher, a burger omakase is essentially a coursed-out slider dinner, with each course bringing its own unique flavours and combinations. 🍔

This menu had a little bit of everything. Seriously, everything. From shrimp and fried chicken to bison, short rib and dry-aged chuck, there was no shortage of variety. There were even tater tots in the mix, and the dinner wrapped up with a sweet serving of banana pudding. 😋

If you want to check out one of these dinners for yourself, the next round will take place November 16 to 20 at TABLE Fare + Social at 81 Bay Street. There will be five nights of dinners, with just 17 seats available each night. Tickets drop October 12 to 16 at 9 a.m. and cost $155 + HST, including two wine pairings and gratuity. 🎟️

If you haven’t heard of @smoking.section.bbq yet, today is your lucky day because let me put you on. This little red trailer outside @greatlakesbeer is popping up Thursday through Sunday until November, serving up some seriously flavour-packed BBQ. 💨

I recently stopped by for their Burger Thursday and was greeted with one seriously THICC burger. The 8oz patty is treated like brisket, seasoned generously and smoked for 90 minutes before getting a sear on the flat top. The result? A massive, juicy burger with smoky, peppery flavour in every bite. And if you’re a brisket fan, this is one burger you’re definitely going to want to try. Trust me! 🙌

My LA adventure continues, and this time around I had the pleasure of visiting @thebenjaminhollywood. 🍽️

When I tell you I’ll be dreaming about this burger for the rest of my life, I mean it. This is easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Simple, juicy and cooked to absolute perfection. It really doesn’t get much better than this. 🙌

Next time you’re in LA, you MUST try this burger. ✈️

Found myself in LA and obviously, I had to make a stop at @innout. 🍔

This place is packed pretty much all day, cranking out burgers and fries at a price that had me doing a double take. It’s about as quintessentially West Coast as it gets, so my LA trip wouldn’t have felt complete without a visit. 🙌

Is it the best burger I’ve ever had? No. But it’s a must-visit when you’re in LA and definitely one of those burger spots you have to try at least once. ❤️

I blinked and September was over. This month was a wild one, with plenty of burger joints announcing new locations and some of my favourite spots I visited earlier this year even earning Michelin recognition. ✨
