You can now hear my set from @bushduf recorded live at SILO. I hadn’t spun on a Pioneer v10 mixer since last year’s Fourth World, so was very keen for another chance to harmonize four decks on ideal gear. What resulted is my own definitive summary of the hypnotic, proggy techno at the heart of the party. SoundCloud link in either bio, hope you enjoy! taken in Bushwick, Brooklyn by @bushduf

Thanks you again @resident_advisor for featuring us as an RA Pick! It was such an honor to be highlighted among the crowded field that is NYC, and with our curator Ben Zo (@_lorenzob) singled out as the captain of our 'cosmic techno ship'! taken in Earthly Delights by @bushduf

BUSH DÜF makes a triumphant return to our favorite Danley sound system with a venerable lineup of local DJs. Featuring a mix of first-timers at @silobrooklyn and previous party presiders in a much-anticipated big-room b2b, expect another astounding night of cosmic, colorful and cathartic techno till the fog and floor must clear.

SUPER WAV (@coreyhindin) treats us to a techno-tilted opener as our first SILO debut. A music-lover in every regard, he wields a wide-ranging palette spanning psychedelic house, jackin’ acid and many genres defying easy categorization. Evoking the universal in even the most esoteric sounds, his thoughtful curation scouts selections and selectors alike as the organizer of @rippleworldwide, a downtempo mix series, and SynchroNYCity, a recently-established party built around revisitations of timeless records.

@emmafine_ then takes us to midnight and beyond with her propensity for expressive propulsion. The driver behind Bossa-based BUCKLE UP BABY is more than just a hostess of high-energy rhythms, but a mesmerizing mixer of dense layers and direct emotion, seamlessly navigating improvisation and authorship. Her acoustic acumen is not to be missed on a sound system like SILO’s, which is why we’re thrilled she could join our party for the first time in what is also her venue debut.

Ben Zo and @steenschmidt are back with their biggest b2b yet. Each attuned to the nuances of the stadium-sized sound system at-hand, their respective experiences as DÜF director and Open Decks ombudsman promise unique uplift in this space familiar to both. Their symbiosis as selectors dates back half a decade and today finds its broadest canvass yet with 6 decks between them and several points of sound around them.

@diojgarcia returns to the DÜF after a few years away with his unrestrained range and freewheeling finesse. With roots in Miami and branches touching upon many of Brooklyn’s seminal parties, the @acid.mama co-organizer is a dependably heady architect of groovy and glistening sets spanning animated acid, blistering bass, deep house, Detroit techno and more. We’re eager to have him as the final venue debutant, and in the main room, no less. taken in SILO by @bushduf

BUSH DÜF abducts our favorite welterweight sound system within easy reach of the L line for a night of cosmic, colorful and cathartic techno. Led by a cockpit of DÜF debutants who all navigate the hypnotic and progressive with equal aplomb across several disciplines including event organization, live performance, music production and, of course, selection; expect astonishing vistas to animate your midweek with profundity and revelry alike.

Peace Ramen b2b Tsaifan open our evening with their celebrated sensibility for cutting-edge curation. The @nosignalnyc founders are best known for their eponymous mix series, which has since grown into a global platform and local community organizer, but their somatic storytelling is no less dialed in. Anticipate a riveting entanglement of mind and body.

Ben Zo then takes over the decks with his cinematic set construction. The @bushduf organizer has no qualms harmonizing unexpected influences including acid, ambient and even Italo with even the most tunneling of techno. He leads us deeper into the wormhole with a bespoke arrangement of vastly different waveforms.

@threehz leads us to midnight and beyond with their precise yet expressive command of otherworldly rhythms. The @no_dawn_bk resident and @hybrid_identity_ co-architect purveys propulsive, prescient sound with an enlivening intuition for the motherbeat in its many forms. Whether it’s bouncy psychedelia or searing emotionality, anticipate both celebration and introspection from this local rarity.

@c0nstructible concludes our occasion with their exhilarating attunement toward imaginative worldbuilding. They land us on a planet fit for home with their virtuosic mixing of both velocity and veneration. Expect celestial and terrestrial soundscapes from the final debutant of both party and venue till the fog and floor must clear.

After some ticketed events, we’re back to a classic humpday shindig with free RSVPs on RA. So, be sure to come early, stay late, and, as always, spend liberally. taken in Jupiter Disco by @bushduf

We’re back this Saturday at our favorite high-altitude DIY hideout after nearly two years away. We’re shelling and shredding till sunrise, a glorious greeting for the longest day of the year.

@jelacruzjeffrey b2b Super WAV (@coreyhindin) open our occasion with their expansive and mesmerizing taste. Individually adroit selectors with a love of waveforms to levitate to, their sound expanses everything from acid, Latin, new wave, and of course, techno.

@dissolved.grl drives us fruther with her sense for the deep and dubby on one hand and the spritely and IDM-influenced on the other. Expect hypnotic 4x4 that draws upon this range.

@_davidlunch_ returns to the DÜF after more than a year. The local quicksilver brings his enthralling intuition for atmospheric prog and relentless momentum to a peak-time pinnacle.

Ben Zo closes with a dawn set. Anticipate unexpected flashes of color from the DÜF director to illuminate any wormhole till the fog and floor must clear. taken in Marcy Avenue JMZ Stop by @bushduf

BUSH DÜF abducts @silobrooklyn for another exhilarating night of cosmic, colorful and cathartic techno. Expect astonishing vistas celestial and terrestrial alike, steered by a cockpit of selectors making their venue debuts as part of our party’s first time in the main room.

@peregrine_spane, a sonic storyteller guided by an associative imagination as expansive as it is riveting, opens our wormhole as the first of three SILO debuts. His command for adroitly-arranged set design is gleaned not just in his finely-tuned curation as @protein.nyc president, but as a connector of dreamy motifs across swirling, melodic mixes.

Ben Zo (@_lorenzob) then leads us to midnight and beyond with his ever-entertaining intuition for cinematic selections across layered decks and lengthy loops. Harmonizing the familiar and esoteric into full-bodied blends that echo long after in thought, he crafts psychedelic spaces as suited to personal reflection as connecting with others.

A set by @__a.m.d is a rare occasion to witness the curve of the horizon in sound. The Brooklyn mainstay is among the scene’s most-dependable booth pilots whose thunderous yet blissful techno offers a uniquely aerodynamic experience each outing. We’re excited to hear the @exile.brklyn and TechnoFist affiliate spin locally for the first time in more than a year.

cruz ctrl (@jelacruzjeffrey) concludes our affair with his slippery sense for arresting soundscapes driven by deep grooves. His bespoke ability for somatic 4x4 is yet to greet SILO in either room, so him halting the chin-scratchers in the main room seemed an ideal way to go till the fog and floor must clear.

Thank you again everyone who came thru to @jupiter_disco for our first hump day high tea in many months. What a splendid affair! Special thanks to @sadmi.sounds, @_arlandob and @jelacruzjeffrey for all bringing their best in each of their venue debuts. And to @perringracemusic for a smooth and seamless b2b with organizer @_lorenzob as our opening happy hour appetizer. Our next event returns to @silobrooklyn on Thursday, April 16: more to come soon. taken in Jupiter Disco by @bushduf

We’re back @jupiter_disco for another finely-tuned sonic celebration on their impressively-analog welterweight Danleys. Ready yourself for cosmic, colorful and cathartic techno piloted by three local selectors making their venue debuts and an opening b2b from two familiar faces tethered together for the first time. As the first humpday DÜF in eons, there is no cover, so be sure to come early, stay late and, as always, spend liberally.

Ben Zo and Perrin Grace open the wormhole with an extended b2b combining their respective harmonic and hypnotic reflexes. Animated by the former’s progressive propulsion and the latter’s orchestral intuition for driving dance floors, expect textures verdant and interstellar alike as they paint otherworldly vistas with acid, dub and ambient techno.

cruz ctrl then takes us further out of our default dimension in the first of our three consecutive JD debuts. The Bronx-born designer and DUF deputy can summon everything from the most rivetingly-reverby rhythms to outright organic percussion, often drawing from his Latin roots depending on the assignment. His premiere playtime here is hence an attraction in its own right.

xxar combs through his hypnotic palette to demonstrate his meticulous approach to sonic maneuvering. Most-recognized at our past parties for his thunderous and thoughtfully-introspective live modular performance, today he draws from his wide knowledge of deep grooves to offer us a focused ninety minutes of precise techno.

Sadmi closes with his sense for forward-thinking, futuristic techno layered with laserlike punctuality. The Cove curator is as electric a selector as he is enthsuastic an organizer, evoking revelry in his sense for somatic and kinetic soundscapes. Anticipate a conclusion that will have you quivering in rapture between the speakers till the fog and floor clear. taken in Jupiter Disco by @bushduf

Thank you everyone for coming to @silobrooklyn on Thursday, what a blast! Gratitude to @primordian.dj for mesmerically setting the mood deeply, @ko_an.music for leading the midnight crossing with an especially interstellar transmission, the propulsive @erik_void for hypnotically painting out the penultimate slot and yes, for concocting that acid-infused night cap at close, even @_lorenzob, who now thanks himself in the third-person. Thank you too to the many new dancers discovering our party for the first time – nothing excites us more – and the venue for their hospitality and opportunity to curate upon their powerful sound system. Our next event is in mid-February, stay tuned in the days ahead for more on that, and cheers again! taken in SILO by @bushduf

BUSH DÜF abducts @silobrooklyn for an enthralling night of cosmic, colorful and cathartic techno. Ben Zo curates another finely-tuned sequence of DJs to steward the bar room's 15K-watt Danley sound system toward astonishing vistas both celestial and terrestrial.

Opening our portal is @primordian.dj, whose slippery ear for sludgy, spacey and arresting selections often have us swaying in unwavering suspense. We’ve heard him mesmerize on his @8ballradio show as well as other stocky sound systems in Greenpoint, Coney Island and many places in-between. So him halting the chin-scratchers at open felt like a no-brainer for his venue debut.

@ko_an.music (fka Luwan) leads us to midnight and beyond by sketching riveting sci-fi soundscapes of tunes brilliant and buoyant alike. Threading the oneiric edges of techno, tech house and other 4x4, among others, into consistently transportative experiences of spongy, somatic rhythms, we’re eager to have her as the second 8-Ball resident for the night in what’s also her SILO debut.

@erik_void then holds down the penultimate slot as our final first-timer at SILO. The @nulrecords label lead and @heavywaste_nyc co-founder is more than just a diligent and deep curator of fine techno through his @halfmoonbk radio residency and @redirect_nyc party series, but a head-turning mixer of hypnotic techno as thunderous as it is blissful.

Ben Zo (@_lorenzob) then closes with his entertaining intuition for cinematic set design across layered decks and lengthy loops. Harmonizing the familiar and esoteric into full-bodied blends that echo long after in thought, the DÜF director consistently crafts uniquely psychedelic spaces as suited to personal reflection as connecting with others. taken in SILO by @bushduf
