One of the highlights of my artistic career (and life) has been helping Ash create art, and especially this coloring page for the @vdacollective Disability Pride coloring book ❤️ by @bustedbutton

8 days until @halloweenmarket_yyj and I cannot wait! I feel so lucky to be part of such a rad crew of humans who create really unique art, jewelry, clothing, trinkets, food, etc etc!!! I hope I’ll see you there- it’s actually my first 2 day market!!!! I’ve avoided them in the past because I can’t make enough stuff, but this year I’m PREPARED and I can’t wait to share! I’m so excited to display one of my favorite pieces at the @printvictoria annual group show! Swipe to see how I worked with some local hornets to create my piece: Hornet Collaboration 🐝
Made with real paper from a hornet’s nest, and printed with an authentic portion of the comb, this piece is a unique collaboration with nature. I salvaged materials from an active hornet’s nest after carefully caring for the insects until they departed or passed away naturally. The nest’s remnants were then used along with a hand-carved stamp which bears the likeness of one of the last remaining hornets to create a series of hand-printed pieces. See it along with a bunch of other cool art soon! #linocut #printmaker #localart by @bustedbutton

I am SO EXCITED to be a part of this accessible Halloween celebration!!! Thanks to @andy.mcghee.realtor for hosting and for @treataccessibly for putting so much thought into these events! I’m going to be there like the witch I am with 8 cauldrons full of treats- mostly non- food items like fidgets, squishies, Pokémon cards… and maybe I’ll bring some earrings too 👀 Please share with all your friends who could benefit from this extravaganza 🎃 (I know we would have loved to have something like this when Asher was young 💜) by @bustedbutton
