That one was interesting! The goal was to recreate the shape of a Hohes C Vitamin Water bottle.

The first challenge was finding a big enough field so that no obstacles were in the way while "rundrawing" the bottle. Found that in the area using Google Maps. Then the field had to be mowed so that the endeavour would not cause any damage.

The second challenge was navigation. The shape is too complex to place physical markings and the correct placement itself would have been a challenge in itself. So I created an app that showed my track in realtime as well as an overlay of the target shape. By running with my cell phone, I was able to stay on the course by monitoring my heading and the track.

I ran longer than expected, mostly due to multiple iterations to create a more visible and bold track and to smooth out imperfections I noticed while running. I'm happy with the result and I have to say, those 17 kilometers were quite exhausting - not so such because of the actual workout, more so due to the level of concentration required to stay true to the Hohes C shape.

Would I do it again? NEVER :)

September 6, 1988 in Linz, Austria. Michael Jackson on stage during the Bad World Tour. I was 7 years old and I'll always remember that day via the photo my mother took, particularly because I almost missed the show!

Back story:
My mother won exactly one ticket in my name. My dad drove us to the venue and asked around for another one because I couldn't possibly go alone! The prices were prohibitive, buying another one was unthinkable! Then, out-of-the-blue, he suggested that we could simply knock on a delivery gate and see what happens. Sure enough, after a few minutes of knocking, a crew member actually opened the gate. My dad presented our case and the guy actually let us in! My mom was allowed to go in as my guardian. Incidentally, we also skipped the security check. That whole episode is insane by today's standards, right?
Long story short: thanks to the empathetic crew member that answered our knocks, I was able to witness the only concert Michael ever gave in Austria! A very special day for a 7-year-old boy and MJ fan to this day 💯 #mjforever
