We’re switching things up for our first ever “VIDEO” walk!

On Sept 19, we’re heading to Quarry Rock in Deep Cove for an afternoon of shooting, hiking, and creating together.

This one is for the VIDEO people. We’ve done plenty of photowalks, so this time we wanted to put the spotlight on videographers and give you a little creative challenge.

Think of it as a moving postcard / capture the hike, the people, the little moments, and your own perspective of the day.

And to make it a little more fun, we’ll be sharing our favourite mini vlog/moving postcards from the event.

For the first time, we took Busycreatives beyond the usual photowalk and turned it into a videowalk.

We wanted to keep this one small and bring together a few people who enjoy telling stories through motion and spending an afternoon making our own little moving postcards.

Seeing everyone’s recaps from the day has honestly been one of my favourite parts. We are all at the same place but somehow everyone came away with a completely different story.

What started as a small experiment at Quarry Rock turned out to be such a fun success.

We’d love to meet more filmmakers, videographers, and creators who want to get outside, shoot, share ideas, and make something together.

Hopefully, this is the first of many Moving Postcards meets with Busycreatives.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made this one special.

Deep Cove x Busy Creatives🥾

Such a fun weekend with the @busycreatives meetup event! It’s been awhile since I joined this kind of event, so it was really refreshing to get out, hike, take photos, and just talk with people who have the same passion. Sometimes it’s nice to step away from the usual photowalks on my own and meet some new people along the way.

The Deep Cove hike was a lot of fun, and the light was actually way better than I expected. I honestly wasn’t expecting much at first, but we ended up getting some really nice light through the trees and around the trail. Definitely a fun day out with cameras, good conversations, and lots of photos, but most importantly, it was great meeting and connecting with so many great photographers📸

This month, we're going on a trip.

Come join us on a day trip to Bowen Island on August 22 where we'll do a 2 hour walk on Snug Cove, and grab food and drink afterwards.

LIMITED SLOTS AVAILABLE! We're releasing a limited number of tickets on August 11 and 12 at noon. Registration link in bio.

On the day of the walk, we're meeting at Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal at 3:30pm. Please be ready with your own tickets. We will be taking the 3:55pm ferry.

Our first sunset hike and hopefully first of many.

What made it even more special was realizing that everyone here is someone I met through @busycreatives

A group of strangers brought together by a shared passion for creating, now sharing trails, chasing sunsets and making memories together.

Hiking back down in the dark with nothing but our headlamps and good company made for one unforgettable night.

Here’s to more adventures and friendships!

At Busy Creatives, our highest priority is fostering a safe, fun environment for creators, where integrity and mutual respect are always upheld.

Recently, actions by a member of our team did not align with the creative standards we stand for.

To ensure our space remains built on mutual respect, they will be leaving the team, effective immediately.

Still can’t get over yesterday. Huge shout out to @nomad.yvr for hosting us for this event and to @annamartynvsk for making this event possible!

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to our BusyCreatives × Nomad Coffee & Bakery photowalk. It honestly means so much to see so many people show up, whether it was your first meetup or you’ve been coming to these for a while.

Seeing everyone walking around Kits, sharing ideas, talking about photography, making new friends, and just enjoying the afternoon together is exactly what these meetups are all about.

We know it was a big group, but we really hope everyone went home with some good memories, met someone new, learned something, or simply felt inspired to keep creating. That’s always been the goal.

We’re so grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown BusyCreatives. Because of you, we get to keep building this community and bringing creatives together.

We’ll definitely be planning more meetups over the next few months and we’re already thinking of ways to make them even more interactive and fun. So stay tuned. We can’t wait to see you all again soon.

The sun's out, vibes are in, and we're officially bringing the heat to Nomad Kitsilano this July. ☀️

Come join Busy Creatives for a BYOC(up) x BYOC(amera) social event on July 17, Friday, from 5-7pm where you'll have a chance to connect with fellow local creatives over good coffee, with a photowalk from 7pm onwards.

Just a few reminders to take note:

- This is a free event. However, each attendee must RSVP just so we can keep an accurate head count for the cafe.

- If you would like to bring a friend with you, they will also need to RSVP.

- Nomad Cafe proudly embraces a greener lifestyle by reducing single-use waste, thereby positively impacting the planet. We encourage you to bring your own cup/drinking container for this event.

- Attendees must buy at least one drink at the cafe. Pastries will be available. However, sandwiches will not be available during the duration of the event.

Slots are limited and we will be opening a limited number of registrations on the following dates:
- July 4 at 12pm
- July 8 at 12pm
- July 12 at 12pm
