Was just sent this photo from the Gallery. Two days from the exhibition opening and five red dots. Ohh..

I’ve been speaking to the potency of the belief of others. It’s one (beautiful, encouraging, warming) thing for people to commend your work, to say how well they like what I have made. That in itself is just delicious and I am lucky and grateful for it.

And then there’s what is said when someone responds to your work so keenly that they purchase it for their own walls. Whoa.. That has a particular potency.

And when some of these red dots belong to artists that I deeply regard, well what can I say.. by @butterfactorystudios

New work is on the walls. I’m just home, utterly spent, feeling like I have just left my babies at school for the first time. Kinda feeling off-kilter, like I want to go grab them back and hug them tight. So, so darn proud of them. Now out into the world they go.

“As Above So Below”

Exhibition opening at the @butterfactorystudios this Thursday 24th September. There’s a house concert to celebrate (The Ragtones Trio with the magnificent @judeiddison, Rod Vervest and Bill Lawrie). Follow the link in my bio for tickets. by @butterfactorystudios

SHADFORTH SHINO | Our firing last weekend was an absolute winner for the shino glazes. These cups available now in the gallery @butterfactorystudios.

For the glazes nerds out there, this is Moon Rocks Shino by @john.britt1. 🤓

I’m just coming down from 2 days @butterfactorystudios pumping the place with the breath of creativity. A huge shout out to my fellow collaborator @francescogeronazz from @margaretriverprintmaking and all participants for your openness to come on such an experimental journey! Feeling fully sated 🙏 by @butterfactorystudios

How could I resist?? Doing my allotted turn at the @butterfactorystudios and there’s a workshop down below! @nikkigreenart and @francescogeronazz leading the dance (monoprinting). Goodness they’re good at what they do these two. It’s one thing to be a maker and entirely another to lead the way for others. What bliss to listen to the hum of the making (and what joy to let my pen play along). by @butterfactorystudios
