Based in India, Anuj Sharma has developed a radically simple and visionary technique called Button Masala — a method of constructing clothing and objects without stitching, machines, or tools, using only buttons and rubber bands.

@buttonmasala from India, enters the #MBFWSL runway as an exploration of form in flux - garments that refuse permanence, silhouettes that shift with intention, and fabric that remains whole even as it transforms. Anuj Sharma’s zero‑cut philosophy becomes a living system: buttons as architecture, connection as design, movement as meaning.

Dying Shadows studies the threshold between light and its disappearance - amber dissolving into terracotta, indigo stretching into night, textures catching and releasing the last traces of glow. Each piece behaves like a mutable sculpture, evolving through touch, gesture and interaction.

#MBFWSL returns, 7 - 11 October.

What if a button could become a pixel,
and a piece of fabric could become a colour? This was the thought we had when a dear friend and their team approached us to commission a wall piece for a law firms office in Ahmedabad.

Every button in this frame holds a tiny piece of the image, and every colour is created by wrapping another layer of fabric around it.

No paint.
No brush.
Just fabric, buttons, and a little extra work.

A picture slowly appears,
one pixel at a time —
painted with fabric.
