AKURUN in Malacca City is a running crew started by the team behind Akudesign, a local streetwear brand. They saw their city needed a reason to lace up together. Founded in May 2024 by Kasu, Buya, and Afiq, the crew runs on one simple idea: running is more fun when shared, and connection matters more than pace. Every Sunday at 07:00, thirty runners gather at rotating meeting points across Melaka, running at a pace that keeps conversation alive. That is the point. You meet the person next to you, hear their story, share yours. After the run comes coffee, the ritual that transforms a morning effort into lasting friendships. There are no fees, no fitness tests, no prerequisites. Malacca City is a place that rewards people who move through it slowly enough to notice things, and AKURUN moves at the speed of connection.
