Pocket shot week is one of my favourite watch/photo-themed weeks, there is something seriously satisfying nailing a pocket shot! Couldn’t think of a better way to kick off my entries this week than with the watch that has barely left my wrist, the 70th Anniversary Bathyscaphe, which has 100% come into my collection like a hurricane. It looks incredible on the @veblenist Rocco canvas.

So bloody good to have my Serica 5303 PLD back on the wrist this week after probably a good couple of months. It never feels like “just another dive watch”, it has so many interesting design features that you can’t help but keep checking it out.

The names Buzz…Buzz Wat…errrr…that doesn’t really work does it 😅. Last week I had to get dressed up for a work-related awards do, and whilst in my Tux I couldn’t help myself but grab a few shots wearing my Vertex M36. Many will have seen that in the latest James Bond book, King Zero, Bond wears an original Vertex Cal 59 Dirty Dozen watch. I’m loving listening to the audiobook at the moment, so don’t hold it against me for having a little “007 Cosplay”!

Bathyscaphe 38mm - Ben B. Having become obsessed with the Fifty Fathoms via the Blancpain x Swatch Scuba Fifty Fathoms, I had long been wondering how I would dip my toe into the waters of a ‘real’ one. To be honest, the Bathyscaphe had not been hugely on my radar, but the more I learned about it, the more it drew me in.

This is after all, a steel 300m dive watch, a genuinely capable tool - but with a more ‘dressed up’ and ‘under the radar’ feeling compared to the full fat Fifty Fathoms. Perfectly sized for my wrist in its 38mm guise, with less negative space on the dial than the equivalent 43mm - for me, it all works, and I love it.

On this occasion I was wearing it on an Admiraloty Grey Phoenix NATO strap, courtesy of @patinanationale - brings the watch back to its tool-like roots.

Time for something totally different to what I usually post, but when I saw Bell & Ross launch the BR05 in this Blue Diamond Eagle model - it really caught my eye. The sparkling aventurine dial and diamonds upon it, combined with the modern-feeling integrated case/bracelet, gives a celestial vibe that I think really works well.

And it just so happened that someone I know really wanted to check one out, so thank you to the lovely @bellross_londonboutique team for making one available for a few days. I have some great photos of her modelling it, to share in the near future!

Probably my last entry for #pocketshotweek2026 and what a huge amount of fun it has been! Thank you to the awesome hosts - @focused_on_time @wrist_watch_doctor @ckstime @watch_zaddy - I always enjoy trying different combinations of watches and clothes for my pocket shots!

I have 2 Blancpain x Swatch Scuba Fifty Fathoms and they bring me a huge amount of joy relative to their cost! This Green Abyss is particularly good.

Another casualty of my new Bathyscaphe, and this one almost hurts a bit more than the Explorer 2. One of the legends of the Omega back catalogue, loved by pretty much all who have or do own them. A lovely slim 41mm case, sword hands and off-the-chart-awesome lume.

I think good ones of these will get harder and harder to find, hence my regret for having to let this one go, but needs must!

It’s been a sorry week in the Buzz household, with everyone suffering from back to school (nursery) bugs 🤒🫩 So what better for my morale than enjoying the lume on the 70th Bathyscaphe for #fridaynightlumebattle - I haven’t taken this watch off in the 3 weeks I’ve owned it - honeymoon period is still going very, very strong with this one!
