The story dives straight into the long-awaited tournament, where Earthrealm’s champions must face off against Outworld’s deadliest warriors in brutal, high-stakes battles to determine the fate of their world. The film features returning and fan-favorite characters including: • Liu Kang – the chosen champion of Earthrealm • Sub-Zero – master of ice and vengeance • Scorpion – the iconic hellspawn warrior • Raiden – protector of Earthrealm • Johnny Cage – the charismatic fighter bringing humor and flair ✅ WHAT WENT WELL • The tournament structure finally takes center stage, making the film feel like a true adaptation of the game fans love • The fight choreography is next level! Brutal, fast, and visually stunning with clean, satisfying impacts • Fatalities are bigger, bolder, and more creative, delivering exactly the fan service everyone wanted • Each character feels more defined, giving fans iconic moments that stay true to the franchise • The cinematic experience at Roxy Cinemas elevated every fight. Crowd reactions, sound design, and IMAX-scale visuals made it unforgettable ⚖️ EVEN BETTER IF • We want even MORE fatalities! because honestly, it’s never enough in Mortal Kombat • A few more “flawless victory” moments would’ve made certain fights even more iconic and game-accurate ⭐ FINAL VERDICT Mortal Kombat II is exactly what fans have been waiting for. It fully embraces the tournament format, delivers hard-hitting action, and stays true to the essence of the game. This isn’t just a movie, it’s a full cinematic gaming experience where every fight feels like a level, every character has their moment, and every victory feels earned. 🎬 IN THE GREY 📍 Reel Cinemas, Dubai Mall 📅 May 13, 2026 🎥 Presented by Italia Film Middle East ⭐ Our Rating: 7.5/10 ~ “A slick and stylish action thriller packed with tension, chemistry, and Guy Ritchie’s signature energy.” Directed by #GuyRitchie, In the Grey follows a dangerous covert mission where trust becomes fragile and every decision carries deadly consequences. The film stars Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Eiza González, whose chemistry together elevated the tension and entertainment throughout the film. Blending espionage, action, and stylish filmmaking, the movie delivers a fast-paced cinematic experience filled with shootouts, covert operations, betrayals, and sharp dialogue that keeps audiences engaged from beginning to end. 🔥 What Went Well • The action sequences were well-choreographed, cohesive, and genuinely thrilling on the big screen • Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Eiza González had fantastic chemistry together • Guy Ritchie’s signature fast-paced and stylish direction made the movie visually engaging throughout • The film paid close attention to detail with sleek cinematography and polished action set pieces • Several suspenseful moments kept the tension consistently high • The movie balanced espionage thrills with entertaining characters 👀 Even Better If • The backstories of the characters could’ve been explored deeper for stronger emotional connection • A slightly longer runtime would’ve helped pace certain plot developments more naturally • Some villains needed clearer motivations and stronger development 🎬 Final Verdict #IntheGrey is a stylish and entertaining espionage thriller that succeeds because of its action, cast chemistry, and Guy Ritchie’s energetic filmmaking style. While the story could’ve benefited from deeper character development and more fleshed-out motivations, the film still delivers a thrilling cinematic ride that action fans will definitely enjoy on the big screen. Huge thanks to Italia Film ME and Reel Cinemas for having us experience this explosive action thriller. 👉🏿Which would YOU rather survive in: a covert spy mission… or a full-on action shootout?👇 #MovieReview #ActionMovie #BuzzNReview taken in Dubai, United Arab Emirates by @buzznreview

🤘🏽 LIFE AFTER YOU 🎬 UAE Special Screening 📍 Star Cinemas, Al Ghurair Mall 📅 22 September 2026 🎬 Presented by Viva Films Middle East ⭐ My Rating: 8/10 ~ “A heartfelt reminder that when life changes your plans, you can still find a reason to dream again.” Directed by Marla Ancheta, LIFE AFTER YOU stars Bela Padilla as Joey, Maricel Soriano as Bella, Dani Zee as Denise, Ryza Cenon as Dianne, Jeric Raval as Fred, Marlo Mortel as Carl and Krissha Viaje as Stacey. After losing her sister, Joey becomes guardian to her niece and turns to Bella, the child’s estranged grandmother. Their different ideas about family, responsibility and raising Denise bring two women together in an unexpected journey of grief, forgiveness and love. ✅ WHAT WENT WELL 🎭 Maricel Soriano and Bela Padilla’s chemistry gives the film its emotional heart. 😂 The natural humor balances the heavier themes of grief and family responsibility. ❤️ A warm, relatable message about unexpected life changes, family and second chances. ⚠️ EVEN BETTER IF 📖 Some of the family conflicts and character motivations had been explored more deeply. 🎬 The screenplay pushed its emotional confrontations further instead of pulling back. ⏳ A tighter pace and more developed supporting characters could have made the story hit even harder. 🎬 FINAL VERDICT Life After You is a heartfelt Filipino family drama carried by the undeniable performances of Maricel Soriano and Bela Padilla. It made me laugh, feel and reflect on how life can completely change the plans we once had. Sometimes, the path we never expected becomes the one that teaches us what truly matters. ❤️🇵🇭 🙏 HUGE THANKS to @viva.middleeast , @shielapellano and @starcinemasme for bringing this exclusive screening to the Filipino community in the UAE and giving us another opportunity to celebrate Filipino cinema together! 🇵🇭❤️🇦🇪 💬 If life suddenly changed the future you planned, would you embrace the new path?👇 #LifeAfterYou #MaricelSoriano #BelaPadilla #FilipinoMovies #BuzzNReview by @buzznreview

⚓️ PRESSURE 🎬 FACT Early Private Screening 📍 VOX Cinemas, City Centre Me’aisem 📅 15 September 2026 🎬 Presented by Universal Pictures Middle East & FACT Magazines ⭐ My Rating: 9/10 ~ “A gripping untold chapter of D-Day where one forecast could change history.” Directed by Anthony Maras, Pressure stars Andrew Scott as Captain James Stagg, Brendan Fraser as Dwight D. Eisenhower, Kerry Condon as Kay Summersby, Chris Messina as Irving Krick and Damian Lewis as Bernard Montgomery. Set in the tense 72 hours before D-Day, the film follows Stagg as he faces enormous pressure over whether dangerous weather conditions should delay the Allied invasion. ✅ WHAT WENT WELL 🌧️ Turns weather forecasting into genuinely gripping suspense. 🎭 Andrew Scott and Brendan Fraser deliver compelling performances. 🎥 The polished production and focus on this lesser-known side of D-Day make history feel immediate and personal. ⚠️ EVEN BETTER IF 📖 Some of the emotional backstories had been explored more deeply. 🎬 The ending had a stronger emotional payoff after all that tension, it felt a little lacking. 🎬 FINAL VERDICT Pressure reminded me that some of the biggest moments in history are shaped not on the battlefield, but behind closed doors through impossible decisions. As someone who studied World War II, I loved discovering this lesser-told D-Day story and seeing how weather, science and human judgment became crucial to the invasion. A fascinating, tense and beautifully crafted historical drama. 🙏 HUGE THANKS to @voxcinemas , @universalpicturesme and @factmagazines for this exclusive early screening! And experiencing Pressure at the first VOX LED Cinema at @citycentremeaisem made it even more special. The crisp, bold and incredibly clear picture brought every detail to life. Congratulations Vox Cinemas on another exciting milestone! Here’s to many more unforgettable movie experiences at this new destination. 💬 Would you have trusted the forecast and delayed D-Day, or taken the risk?👇 #PressureMovie #WWIIMovie #Reel #fypシ #BuzzNReview by @buzznreview

The story follows Bryan, a medical courier whose routine delivery turns into a fight for survival when he becomes trapped in a terrifying viral outbreak filled with infected creatures, deadly environments and unexpected horrors. ✅ WHAT WENT WELL 😱 Jumpscares all around! The film constantly keeps you alert, making every dark corner feel dangerous. 🎮 It truly feels like stepping inside a Resident Evil game, with survival-horror tension, terrifying creatures & game-inspired moments. 😂 The comedy and dark humour give the intense horror some fun, making the experience entertaining as well as frightening. ⚠️ EVEN BETTER IF 📖 The story had a little more depth, especially beyond the survival adventure. 🎬 The ending delivered a stronger payoff. 🪄 PRACTICAL MAGIC 2 📍 Roxy Cinemas, Dubai Hills Mall 📅 8 September 2026 🎬 Presented by Warner Bros Middle East ⭐ My Rating: 8/10 ~ “A magical reunion filled with sisterhood, nostalgia and a little chaos.” Directed by Susanne Bier, Practical Magic 2 brings back Sandra Bullock as Sally Owens and Nicole Kidman as Gillian Owens, alongside Joey King as Kylie, Maisie Williams as Antonia, Dianne Wiest as Aunt Jet, Stockard Channing as Aunt Frances and Lee Pace as Ian Wright. The Owens sisters return nearly three decades later as an old family curse threatens the next generation. When Sally’s daughter Kylie becomes caught up in the same dangerous love curse, Sally and Gillian must reunite and embrace their magical heritage once again. And yes… I haven’t actually watched the first Practical Magic! So I experienced this sequel without the nostalgia that longtime fans have and surprisingly, I still found plenty to enjoy. ✨ WHAT WENT WELL 🪄 The chemistry and sisterly dynamic of Sandra & Nicole remain the heart of the movie. 💜 The emotional focus on the Owens women gives the story its strongest moments. 🔮 The witchy aesthetic, humour and returning characters create a cozy, enchanting vibe. ⚠️ EVEN BETTER IF 📖 The 130-minute runtime and repetitive plot beats can make it feel longer than necessary. ✨ The magic effects were more convincing, some of the CGI and supernatural visuals didn’t always land. Even without seeing the original, #PracticalMagic2 was an enjoyable introduction to the Owens family & their magical world. It may rely heavily on nostalgia for returning fans, but the sisterhood, humour, performances and cozy witchy energy kept me entertained. 🙏HUGE THANKS to @warnerbrosme and @theroxycinemas for creating such a magical premiere experience! Such a beautifully themed activations with the enchanting atmosphere. And that red-carpet tarot card?🃏The fortune teller told me I’m glamorous, confident and destined to succeed in whatever I set my mind to because of my strong personality and perseverance. I’ll definitely take THAT prophecy!😅 💬 If you could have ONE magical power, what would it be?👇 #PracticalMagic #MovieReview #DubaiCinema #BuzzNReview by @buzznreview

⚔️ THE UPRISING ⚜️ Exclusive Dubai Premiere 📍 Reel Cinemas Platinum Suites, Dubai Mall 📅 9 September 2026 🎬 Presented by Italia Film Middle East ⭐ My Rating: 8/10 ~ “A powerful reminder that one voice can spark a movement.” Directed by Paul Greengrass, The Uprising stars Andrew Garfield as Ploughman, Jamie Bell as John Ball, Cosmo Jarvis as Wat Tyler, Thomasin McKenzie as Alyce, Tom Hollander as Treasurer Hales, Stephen Dillane as Archbishop Sudbury and Woody Norman as King Richard II. Set in 1381 England after the devastation of the Black Death, the film follows a grieving farmer who joins a rebellion against King Richard II, as ordinary people rise against oppression, injustice and an unfair system. ⚔️🔥 ✅ WHAT WENT WELL ⚔️ @andrew_garfield83 Garfield leads with a compelling, emotional performance. 🔥 The gritty, immersive action puts you right in the middle of the uprising. ✊ Its themes of justice, resistance and ordinary people standing up against powerful forces feel incredibly relevant today. ⚠️ EVEN BETTER IF 📖 The story had a more consistent emotional focus, especially as it moves toward its final act. 🎥 The handheld camerawork was less disorienting at times; some reviewers found it distracting rather than immersive. 🎬 FINAL VERDICT The Uprising is more than a historical action drama, it’s a conversation about injustice, dignity and how far we’re willing to go when something is fundamentally wrong. And that’s exactly why I asked our premiere guests: “If you had one chance to stand up against something you believe is wrong, what would you fight for?” Their answers — equality, justice, respect, fair treatment, fighting corruption and bullying — made the premiere feel even more meaningful. 🙏 HUGE THANKS to @italiafilm.me for the exclusive invitation and to @reelcinemas for the incredible Platinum Suites experience. From the atmosphere to the big-screen presentation, it was the perfect setting for a film about standing up and making your voice heard. 🎬⚔️ 👉🏿If you had ONE chance to stand up against something you believe is wrong, what would YOU fight for?👇 #TheUprising #AndrewGarfield #MovieReview #ItaliaFilmRelease #BuzzNReview taken in Dubai, United Arab Emirates by @buzznreview

🕷️ SPIDER ISLAND 🏝️ 📍 Roxy Cinemas, BoxPark Dubai 📅 7 September 2026 🎬 Presented by Front Row Films Entertainment ⭐ My Rating: 6.5/10 ~ “Eight legs, one bite, and absolutely NO escape!” Directed by Christopher Smith and starring Rose Williams, Tim McInnerny, Andy Nyman, Avani Gregg, Léna Mahfouf, Owen Warner and Divian Ladwa. A group of influencers are invited to the launch of the luxurious Oceania Pearl Hotel on a secluded tropical island. But beneath the picture-perfect paradise, construction has disturbed a hidden cave system, awakening a swarm of deadly spiders ready to reclaim the island. 🎬 WHAT WENT WELL 🕷️ A fun horror-comedy ride: It knows exactly what kind of movie it wants to be: ridiculous, campy and entertaining, with plenty of spider-fueled chaos. 🌴 The setting works: The gorgeous tropical resort becomes the perfect contrast to the increasingly terrifying spider invasion. 😂 The cast brings personality: Tim McInnerny and Andy Nyman particularly stand out, with critics highlighting their performances and comic chemistry. ⚠️ EVEN BETTER IF 🕷️ More inventive kills: With a premise like this, I wanted bigger, crazier and more gruesome spider attacks. 📖 A stronger story: The eco-message and influencer satire add some fun, but the creature-feature formula feels familiar. 🎬 FINAL VERDICT #SpiderIsland delivers exactly what you want from a fun spider horror: chaos, camp, tropical scenery and plenty of creepy-crawly moments. It may not reinvent the genre, but it’s an entertaining ride, although arachnophobes might want to stay far away! And if you have arachnophobia… maybe skip the island.🕷️🌴 HUGE THANKS to @front_row_films and @karma_audi_official for creating such an incredible island-glam screening! The cobweb-covered tables, spooky tropical details and overall atmosphere made it feel like we had stepped right onto Spider Island. It was even more special getting to meet new faces from different content niches while enjoying delicious bites and drinks. And thank you @theroxycinemas for always turning a movie screening into an experience! 👉🏿Would YOU survive Spider Island?👇 #SpiderIslandMovie #HorrorMovie #MovieReview #BuzzNReview taken in Dubai, United Arab Emirates by @buzznreview

🧨 COYOTE VS. ACME 📍 Reel Cinemas, Dubai Mall 📅 25 August 2026 🎬 Presented by Gulf Films, Falcon Films & Four Star Films Middle East ⭐ 8.5/10 ~ “Looney Tunes just proved that the old-school cartoon magic still works on the big screen!” Directed by Dave Green, Coyote vs. Acme stars Will Forte as lawyer Kevin Avery, John Cena as Acme’s attorney Buddy Crane, and Lana Condor as Paige Avery. After years of being blown up, flattened and launched off cliffs by defective Acme products, Wile E. Coyote finally fights back, by suing Acme! 🐺⚖️ With a struggling lawyer by his side, he takes on the corporation responsible for his endless misfortune. 🔥 WHAT WENT WELL * Genuinely funny. The movie understands the absurdity of classic Looney Tunes and delivers plenty of clever gags and visual comedy. * The nostalgia hits! The filmmakers respect the original characters instead of trying to completely reinvent them, making this a treat for longtime Looney Tunes fans. * Will Forte & John Cena. Forte brings warmth and comic timing, while Cena clearly has fun playing the slick, intimidating corporate lawyer. ⚠️ EVEN BETTER IF * Some felt the 100+ minute runtime stretches the cartoon premise. * There were even more Wile E. Coyote/Road Runner moments. The live-action storyline occasionally takes the spotlight away from the characters we came to see. 🎬 FINAL VERDICT #CoyoteVsAcme is fun, nostalgic and surprisingly heartfelt. It takes one of animation’s greatest underdogs and finally gives him the chance to fight back. The live-action/animation combination works, the jokes land more often than not, and seeing these classic Looney Tunes characters back on the big screen genuinely brought out the kid in me. ACME may have failed Wile E. Coyote for decades… but this movie didn’t fail me. Huge thanks to @gulffilm @falconfilmsme @fourstarfilmsme for having me at the screening and to @reelcinemas for another fantastic cinema experience! 🍿🎬 There’s something special about watching these iconic characters come alive on the big screen, especially when the whole cinema is laughing along. 👉🏿Are you Team Coyote or Team ACME?👇 #LooneyTunes #MovieReview #DubaiCinema #BuzzNReview taken in Dubai, United Arab Emirates by @buzznreview
