POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We can’t believe it’s already been a few weeks since our trainees graduated from the programme! We’re celebrating their hard work by sharing some brilliant images from their commercial briefs 📸.

In this post, we’re sharing work created by Olisa (@by.olisa)

"I'm 23, from Nigeria, and a recent Accounting graduate. I applied for this programme because I knew the corporate world wasn’t for me. I wanted to
fully explore my passion for photography.

I wanted my commercial brief project to focus on portraiture and location-based shoots, with a cultural organisation tied to my interest in Black history. This led me to work with the Black Cultural Archives @bcaheritage, where I documented their youth forum members and events. The biggest challenges were scheduling shoots and directing my first long-form video, which I edited entirely myself."

Be sure to follow @by.olisa to keep up with their journey! ⭐️ by @by.olisa

Portraits for @bcaheritage

Highlighting the voices of BCA’s Youth Forum 2025 — a space for young people exploring black history, culture, and community. This project was all about celebrating and championing young voices in the cultural and heritage sector. Completed as my final project as a @photographyfoundation trainee by @by.olisa
